🔌 Metra 99-7416 Installation Kit: Perfect Fit for 2000-2003 Nissan Maxima Vehicles (Black) Review

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the shelf doesn't quite fit into the factory bracket in the bottom left corner which makes it protrude a bit.

Fits perfectly and is very streamlined to fit in the dash. Doesn't look out of place. The space created below is not large but perfect for any smartphone when connected to the AUX socket on your stereo. Very satisfied with the product, especially the price compared to the dealership.

This Metra matches Maxima line color better than Scoche. I had to buy a scoche kit to use its plastic frame, however, as the Maxima's metal frame is almost impossible to unscrew with a hand or power tool. So I have Metra for the outside and tape for the inside.

I have a 2002 Maxima and it worked. As if. At the end of the installation I had a few gaps. This isn't my first rodeo. I installed many stereo systems. Things just didn't add up. The color seems good. My car has an all black interior with thin gray plastic. It doesn't irritate the eyes. Unless you look at the roughly 1/4" thick gaps in the worst spots - which isn't that bad, I'm just a perfectionist.

Doesn't really fit my 2000 Maxima 100%. That's ok for the most part, but a little annoying, mainly because they may not have tested the best in the world, or there may have been some differences in dashboard design in this series (possibly 2003, as it saw many changes ) and they just used the lowest common denominator instead of having more than one product for that range.
