I used a pump to drain the brake fluid and flush the freezer defrost tube. ATTENTION! If you remove the piston for cleaning, be very careful when reinserting it as it is very easy to detach part of the lower sealing lip and pinch it between the piston and the tube. Bought an oil change pump for a 50 year old Ford differential, probably still runs factory oil. No drain plugs, 60 degree weather, no preheating from a hot exhaust pipe in close proximity. It has been found that the best way is to pull the piston out 1/4 inch at a time, let the thick oil suck in and pull it out again. Have maybe 75 percent. I've bought quite a few of these tools, from syringe pumps like this one to in-line pumps and screw-on pumps, and so far this has been my favorite. This happens for several reasons, but primarily because the device clamps and locks the hose. This is extremely useful when dealing with more viscous liquids such as gear oil.
