Description of πŸš— Experience superior suspension with Monroe MA765 Max-Air Air Shock Absorber

MAINTAIN RIDE HEIGHT UNDER LOAD -- Air chamber can be inflated or deflated up to 150 PSI to maintain level height with additional weight up to 1,200 lbs. (capacity is limited by suspension, tires and transmission; see owner's manual). EASY TO ADJUST -- Special air fitting resists air leakage and ties into factory system (where applicable) or manually inflates with an air compressor; pair with Monroe air shock accessory and shock air hose AK kits (varies by application). EXCEPTIONAL HANDLING -- Full-displaced valving on compression and extension cycles for a smooth ride. BUILT TO LAST -- Hardened and precision ground piston rod for consistent performance, sintered iron piston for enhanced durability and longer service life and lubricated air sleeve reduces friction for smooth operation. CONSISTENT RIDE -- OE all-weather fluid contains special modifiers to handle extreme temperatures and help reduce friction and ensure smooth rod reaction.

Poor quality shock absorbers in shock absorbers, struts and suspension

I bought these Monroe MA765 air shock absorbers for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee in August 2010. They were installed for about 3-1/2 months, maybe 1500 miles. Both shocks lost compression and rebound damping so I removed them to see why. They held air pressure, but both leaked shock oil. I have no idea why so I contacted Warranty/Tenneco, One International Drive, Monroe, MI 48161, (734) 384-7898. I was told these shocks are NO WARRANTY. Not one, zero, not 30 days, nothing. I was a bit surprised and…

Wouldn't buy again, good for Shock

Parts arrived and I wanted to replace my old worn out air shocks. Like everyone else, I had to deal with broken upper shock bolts. In any case, the new dampers were made differently than my old ones, allowing the damper body/inlet to be rotated to the best position. In order to maintain the claimed 4 inch exhaust clearance, I had to position the muffler on the passenger side opposite of what the manual says. Hopefully that won't be a problem in winter with snow, mud and ice in the wheel well…

Monroe Max Air Shocks For Jeep Cherokee

Be prepared for the upper shock studs to break when removing the old shocks. I did all 4 on my Cherokee. You can google a few different ways to fix this, it's not that bad but be prepared for a little more time. The shocks themselves appear to be of good quality, but the tee included in the installation kit is not. It is made of plastic and the threaded part is easy to be damaged. It's also not long enough to install anything thicker than 1/8 inch or so. I tried using the existing hole in the…
