Incompatible hardware

The device is supplied with non-original mounting hardware. I had to reuse the original screws as the new ones were too short.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Poor repairability

HARDWARE HOAX - Spare Parts

A BJ ARRIVAL ONE DAY LATE. BOTH HAVE MOUNTING HARDWARE (SCREWS) THAT WERE TOO SHORT AND CHEAP METAL. THE THREADS HAVE GROWN. I CHOOSE TO REUSE THE ORIGINAL

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Ideal for spare parts

This lower ball joint fitted perfectly. Disassembled and reassembled in an hour. It's good that it has a lifetime guarantee, I hope I won't need it. Great price, half price. MOOG is the best brand in my opinion.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • not as thick as other picks

000 miles before both boots are bad and dirty

Mostly road driving. They only lasted about 1.5 years = 12,000-15,000 miles before both boots went bad and dirty. Moog no longer exists, I'll stick with OEM. Very disappointed with the performance. 4runner 3.4 1996

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Useless features

Fits Toyota 4runners 96-2001

So far so good, got it for my 98 Toyota 4runner, it's been about 3-4 months since I've installed it and it always holds up still good although OEM - this is what everyone needs, you can't beat this price, FYI there is no 555 marking on this one, also make sure you know what you are getting, go for the Moogs -Website to determine which part number you need: driver or passenger side ball joints.

Pros
  • Several competitors
Cons
  • Communicate with seller

Good connection, crappy hardware. Save your bolts OEM

Was disappointed with my Moog lower ball joint. I have a 1st Gen Tundra left and right LBJ. The LBJ rises well and looks the same as the OEM. In fact, it has slightly more Berger trunk than OEM. However, the screws are rather insufficient. First, they differ from the OEM size, so I had to juggle sockets. More importantly, they are shorter than OEM bolts. This results in a difficult or impossible installation. I couldn't tighten the bolts 3/4 to spec. In addition, 1 screw on the left and rightโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • -
