Product works but setup was tedious as it was registered for a previous user. The seller should probably look into this BEFORE selling to someone new. I spent about an hour with Comcast to take care of it.

I recently upgraded my Spectrum internet service from 200 Mbps to 400 Mbps but found I needed to upgrade my modem to implement a speed boost. I have my own modem, not borrowed from Spectrum. After installing this SB6190 and registering myself with Spectrum, I immediately saw improvements. Now we get 480 MBPS DL and 24 MBPS UL. I've seen 230MB/s DL and 12MB/s UL max before. I set up my new internet setup with Comcast this month and I can tell you it's excellent! Excellent signal strength and very easy to install. The guys at Comcast will make setup easy for you. I highly recommend it.

Arris modems are always good. I want them to last forever, but each one lasts a few years and then they become unreliable and need to be replaced. I'm happy with that.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER, Convert A, LLC! I purchased a refurbished modem from this seller and the modem was registered with the previous owner who still had an existing Xfinity account with the modem registered to their account. We called Xfinity and since the modem is registered to the previous owner we cannot use it. I am an 85 year old occasional computer user. My Comcast tech said I need a new modem. I was happy with the quick delivery and the fact that I was able to install it myself. At first there were problems with Xfinity wanting me to reactivate the modem every time I opened my computer, after a lengthy phone call with them they fixed it and everything works great. Very happy with the purchase because it's faster than my old modem.

Why? because the cheap modem provided by ISPs has a minimum bandwidth. THIS modem has triple the bandwidth of most rental modems, meaning it can give you more of the service you pay for. Will buy this brand again if I need a DOCSIS 3.1 modem.

This was a certified repair. Error on my part. Arrived quickly in good condition. Easy to install. Turned on and works fine. For 2 or 3 weeks. Then it started rebooting on its own and spent 20-30 minutes looking for an incoming signal. It got to the point where he would do it 3 or 4 times a day. Very disturbing. I replaced it with an old modem until I bought a working model.
