Description of πŸ”§ Efficient Motivx Tools Engine Oil Funnel: Perfect for GM Vehicles

THIS OIL FUNNEL THREADS ONTO THE ENGINE IN PLACE OF THE OIL FILLER CAP – fits most GM vehicles that use the 1/2 turn style oil filler cap, not for engines with the threaded style cap such as the EcoTec. Does not fit 2014+ 5.3L engines. NO MORE HOLDING YOUR FUNNEL IN PLACE WHILE POURING OIL INTO THE ENGINE – this funnel stays where it's supposed to so you have both hands free to work with. SAY GOODBYE TO SPILLS AND THAT BURNING OIL SMELL – this funnel seals to the engine with a rubber gasket and securely threads into place so it won't fall over or leak. WITH IT'S HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION THIS FUNNEL WILL LAST THE LIFE OF YOUR VEHICLE – the bottom chamber is constructed with very thick, heavy duty plastic and the upper portion is highly durable yet flexible.

Great but not for my car

Very nice funnel. If I had a different engine it would be the watchdog, but the oil hole in my 6.2L Chevrolet Camaro V8 is at an angle making it difficult to use.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

WILL NOT FIT LP5 DURAMAX

The part grips the filler neck well, but the tube is not long enough and the cone is not flexible enough to get around all the parts in the engine. If you're having trouble completing LP5, look elsewhere. Next, I look for Lyle's curved funnel. Bad design from GM for not pushing it further.

Fast and clean oil filling at last

Fits, turns to engage and seals like an oil cap. It flows amazingly well. Transparent so you can see when it's completely empty and don't make a mess. You can pour a 5 liter jug pretty quickly without making a mess. I have several cars that will fit so it saves me time and confuses me on oil change day.

Cons
  • Nothing here

Fits 2016 Cruze Gen2

Fits 2016 Chevy Cruze Gen2 oil filler cap thread. When using the standard funnel, there were problems when adding oil too quickly - it rolled back and flowed under the top cover of the engine. Attaching this funnel to the o-ring will keep the oil where it should be. I also like that it has a transparent bottom so you can see when to water more slowly.

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Volume

Expensive but effective

Well I know you think this thing is even worth $15. Well, not really, but price aside, it's about what you'd expect from an expensive funnel specifically designed to pour oil into a car without spilling a drop. It blocks and doesn't move. Of course you could buy it cheaper or make it out of an old jug, but you only live once, right?

better than snapon in Oil System Tools

i use it every day on gm cars and i have to say i like it more than snapon. It's a lot cheaper and I like the fact that it's clear so you can see the oil dripping down. fits almost every GM car I've had, but I don't use it on GMs with rocker cover filler caps. I imagine I could get a matching rectangular adapter if I really need one. would recommend to anyone looking at this or any other funnel they offer.

Pros
  • solid construction
Cons
  • crumpled packaging

Ideal for almost every GM vehicle released in .

Perfect for almost all GM vehicles made in the last 25 years. The list of GM cars it doesn't fit will be a lot shorter than the list of cars it does. I will continue to edit this review to update the list of these engines. Oil does not flow even if a large amount of oil is poured at once. It has a detachable screen if you don't want it there. A must if you work as a technician at a GM dealer! NOT SUITABLE: EcoTec 1.4L or 1.8L engines from 2011 to present

Pros
  • Pretty Package
Cons
  • Great Price

Good build, no leaks well done.

Imagine we live in a time when even homeowners who do oil changes are finding that they need special equipment. I love this funnel especially when using the spare oil that comes in a plastic bag in the box. It's very easy to get him to go where you don't want him to. Newer dry-sump oil changes require a bit more effort due to separate, temperature-sensitive reservoirs to determine the correct level. This unit allows you to pump new oil up to the right temperature without worrying about it…

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Updates Available

Worked great and liked it until it stopped leaking from the oil filler neck

So disappointed with this product. I was so excited because the oil filler neck on my 2018 Duramax L5P is in an awkward position. I had to cut off the top blue piece because it didn't fit where I wanted it. This wasn't a big problem, I screwed the transparent part on and off several times during the trimming with no problem. After cutting the top blue piece to the correct height, I reassembled the funnel and screwed it into the filler neck. I finished the oil change and the funnel worked great,
