🍞 Efficient Slicing Made Easy: Mrs. Anderson's Baking Bread Cutter with Crumb Catcher, 12.5-Inches Review

I started shopping for bread that needed slicing and bought a plastic cutting aid which fell apart immediately. This one is made of wood and the rails are bolted to the base making it very durable. It is easy to clean as there is room for crumbs and they can be thrown off easily. Its wooden frame even feels solid and useful.

Oh well. I've found that I have more control by lifting the end and squeezing the sides with the bread. The problem with this slicer is that my Wüsthof bread knife is slightly longer than the width of this slicer. So if someone pulls back on the blade, it comes out of the lead. In order to keep the knife in the guides, you have to make a lot of short small movements. Better than nothing I think.

I ordered this from stock and it arrived broken but Revain was great on return. After looking at the product I don't think I would be happy with it. It is made of soft wood and the crumb is fixed. I feel like the wood is too soft for the piece to last really long and I'd have to reinforce the corners with decorative nails to hold them together. Everything turned out for the best.

I love this slicer. It is durable, easy to assemble with four small screws, and easy to clean. I love that it picks up all the crumbs and doesn't leave a mess on the table. The guides are perfect, each disc is perfectly even. I was concerned I wouldn't be able to customize them but realized that if I needed a thicker piece of bread I could just skip a guide. It worked great. The best part is that the knife glides easily and the bread comes out perfect! Not everything is chopped up ... Even warm

What a great product for the kitchen! I love using this guide to cut even slices of sourdough bread for breakfast and Italian bread for dinner. Item is shipped flat therefore simple assembly is required - simply fasten the 4 screws (supplied) in the locations provided. Pros: This tray is wide enough for a variety of loaves of bread, not just thin Italian/baguette loaves. I also love the simple rustic design! The only negative: I found it necessary to further join the two halves of wood together

I love buying crusty bread in the gourmet bakery. So amazing. I don't cut them in the store as there are only two of us and the bread might spoil before we eat it. I bought Mrs. Anderson's Easy-to-Use Wooden Bread Slicer. The product I received was damaged - the wooden sticks were not glued. I issued a refund but couldn't return it in time. Thought I'd give it a shot anyway and try gluing the wooden lattices together. When I assembled it I realized they had sent me the wrong plastic splints.
