I purchased a bed extender from someone on the app next door but there were no mounting hardware. It said it wasn't for the 2018 F150 SuperCrew, but I ordered it and tried it anyway. All it took was a tap and a set of dies. I used a faucet to add threads to the smooth hole where the screws go. It was only about ten minutes with minimal effort. The bolts went in with no problems.
