Omix Ada 12025 27 Spare Tire Carrier Review

Excellent product with timely delivery. As seen in the photo and description. I would recommend this spare tire carrier to any early model Jeep CJ owner.

Good quality. Good equipment. Ease of installation. WILL NOT FIT my 1979 CJ5. You need to create mods to make it work. The top holes line up correctly, but the bottom holes are offset by about 1/4" so I need to drill and add shims.

Will be updated when replacement becomes available. Unfortunately the tire assembly I received was crooked (bent wheel bolts with stripped threads) and someone sent it back to Revain for a refill. Other than the fact that it's obviously been used, it appears to be an OEM quality mount.

After ordering a discontinued carrier brand I gave it a try. Wow! Big difference. This was with class 5 screws, the build material was much thicker. Bulletproof item. In addition, unlike my previous spare wheel carrier, it was lockable. That means you can use a padlock to secure your spare with this one.

Will not fit 1970's CJ5. I assume it is for CJ2, CJ3 models. I drilled it to make it work. The quality of the goods corresponds to the description.
