Great addition to your photography kit

I bought this because it's much easier to carry than a standard tripod. It's very light and easy to unfold and store away when I need it. This helps me to take more stable shots, especially when using the zoom function. I take it everywhere just because I can. I don't always have to use it, but it's nice to know I always have it with me.

Expand your photographic possibilities with a monopod.

I get a little shaky with age and after a trip to Europe I saw many with a monopod for their phones and camcorders and Go Pro. I have a Nikon D-90 and a Lumix LX-7 and it's a nice package, with a pouch that fits in your regular 24" suitcase. It is lightweight and can be used as a walking stick when not in use. The grip is soft and the 3-stage foot extends well past my 5'9" head. If you had a remote shutter release like I did, you could easily get awkward angles. It's from 47th St. Photo in New…

No trekking pole!

I have been using this very good monopod very sparingly for many years. Then I recently took an active trip to New Zealand and carried around a monopod with a Fuji xt-30 attached. Walking across Queenstown I often stabilized with the pod and used it as a trekking pole. Then, alongside Ben Lomond, it's time to change the battery in the Fuji (short battery life in a nice small and light camera!). Unfortunately, the screw inserted into the camera came loose and turned inside the monopod and I was…

Excellent monopod, second one I have. I bought my first one a few years ago and had no problems with it. I read one bad review and it's always possible to give a few bad ones, but there are many 5 star reviews on this item from happy customers. One thing I do differently is use my head on a monopod. The head makes it a lot easier to set up the camera and without it the monopod isn't that useful. It also relieves the tripod screw from being constantly removed and turned on. I like it because…

Easy to use, slightly wobbly switches, otherwise everything is fine.

I use it for quality real estate photography. It stays on my camera. When I'm doing panoramas, I just snap in the rubber foot and flip it over as many times as needed. It's pretty easy to keep it upright. Easy to pivot. Pros: 1) it's CHEAP. Not necessarily poorly made, but inexpensive. 2) The small rubber foot works great indoors, the spike works great outdoors. I would not have expected such a function from a very cheap monopod. 3) The foam grip is large and well padded. 4) Adjustment levers…

No better deal on tripods and monopods

If you're an intermediate to active photographer or traveler, you'll love this monopod. It's lightweight, easy to pack, yet strong and durable. It's easy to attach at any height thanks to the secure locking sections, and the clasps are tight - they won't slip when you lean on them. I'm well over 6ft tall and it's great that my camera is so tall. The tubular construction is strong and doesn't wobble, and for added stability they've created a V-channel to guide the pleating, but this channel also

Enough for my first monopod

For my first monopod, I decided on something inexpensive to decide how useful I would find the monopod. Having never used a monopod I can't compare it to any of the more expensive monopods over $100 but it seems decent especially for the price. It seems solid enough that I can't find anything wrong with it. At the very least, this should give me an inexpensive way to learn how to use a monopod, and if it can withstand prolonged wear, all the better. I haven't tried it with a big heavy lens. I…

Great monopod for the price

I recently bought my first Canon Rebel XSi DSLR and found that most of my action shots were pretty blurry no matter what settings I chose. I decided the handshake must be my problem, so I needed a monopod. I did a lot of research (especially here at Revain) before purchasing this monopod and was not disappointed. It's that simple: basically (simple!) a retractable wand with a screw on top, but it does the job. It has a rubber bottom for traction on slick surfaces that you can twist to hide the…

Excellent product

If you're shooting sports or concerts, this is a great addition to your arsenal. The capsule is well made although the clasps are plastic, reaches to a good height and is well filled (has a retractable spiked leg and a cool body). For the price you can't beat it. Period. If you're not a pro, don't waste your money on more expensive brands, that's all you need. Mine is used several times a year (school sports and concerts). After a few years of headless use, I recently added a tilted Manfrotto…
