Head tube plugs not included. The plastic strap broke.

Without head tube plugs. The plastic strap broke and had to be replaced with a metal strap. I later bought a heavier spring from Dale's Hardware to increase the tension. But I did it.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Difficult to say

After drilling a hole to attach it to the fork and installing a lock nut behind the plastic adjusting nut, it keeps my front end straight when the wheel is off the ground. I didn't have to stretch the spring much for it to work properly. I don't have any of the issues that some reviews complain about and I have a good weight on my bars. If you don't try to crank things too hard, it will do what it's supposed to. It's plastic. Not metal. So just use common sense.

Pros
  • . I look forward to
Cons
  • . There are other interesting options.

THAT DOES NOT WORK. WEAK SPRING AND SHIT PLASTIC PARTS.

Great idea but poor execution. The only thing this should do is hold the wheel straight while loading the front rack and that doesn't work. The wheel still turns on its side, carrying the bike with it. The fender mount is a nice thick tab of metal, but the spring works fine, and the part that you tie to the bike's down tube is all plastic, which flexes under load so you can't tighten the spring enough to release yours work to do. Over-tightening the frame strap will also pinch the rear shifter…

Don't do this on spare parts

Complete nonsense. Plastic clamp for the down tube and a very weak spring. I tried it on my Schwinn Cruiser with the large front basket and it didn't help at all to keep the steering wheel straight. In fact, it's pretty easy to tie and pull the handlebars to the side. The first thing I noticed was that the packaging had been opened from the bottom and the parts appeared to have slight signs of wear. That makes me think someone else brought it back sooner. Probably due to the same problems as…

Pros
  • Easy installation

  • I'm worried

No more bikes parked in the driveway!

Added this to my commuter/waste bike/kids vehicle which has a two legged stand and the dreaded case of the front wheel falling through when parked. I had a hard time loading and unloading the bike because the front was always lying around and destabilizing the bike. This device was a bit fiddly to assemble, as at some point you had to hold the spring tension while tightening. nut or bolt. The more excitement you want, the harder it gets. I ended up adjusting the spring with such a tension that…
