Perfect rice every time!

I received this rice cooker as a gift (from someone who shares my Revain account from time to time) and I am very happy with it. I'm really bad with the rice to water ratio but this cooker works great for some reason even if I'm wrong. Best of all, it's very quick, especially with white rice. The "Keep Warm" feature is very handy and I never get burnt rice that won't peel off the pan. In fact, I usually just need to quickly rinse the pot when I'm done and I'm done.

Rice is cooked too long.

I have used many different rice cookers; Taiwanese, Japanese and American brands, this is my first Panasonic and Micom. I'll start with the advantages: light weight + handle, very convenient to lift and store. Parts that need to be cleaned after each use are also very easy to remove and reinstall. It looks good. Cons: Cooking (regular) rice takes too long! I don't know exactly how long, but at least 40 minutes + for 3 cups of white rice (regular), the rice came out a bit dense (I use Nishiki)…

Rice cooking made easy!

Rinse and rinse rice. Measure the rice, add the appropriate amount of water and put it in the pressure cooker, close the lid, switch on the device, select the type of rice and press. Wait until it's ready and serve! Simple and easy cooking of rice is the advantage of this device. I highly recommend this rice cooker to anyone who prefers perfect rice. I also recommend a rice wash bowl and a cypress rice cooling bowl. The golden tamaki rice in this rice cooker, when rinsed properly, is…

GREAT PRICE FOR A HIGH PERFORMANCE RICE COOKER

We eat rice by the ton in Hawaii. I eat healthy, so I chose this model that has a dedicated button for cooking brown rice. To be honest, I haven't tried brown rice yet. My mom used to cook Japanese rice (short grain kalroza and the consistency was perfect!) Unit is a bit clunky, I'm used to a more upright model. My last Panasonic was fantastic, it had a pen and was easy to take to the beach. This one is a bit more fussy and formal than my last all-in-one slab. I love Panasonic rice cookers and…

Perfect rice cooker

I bought an Ex model from Panasonic (marketing under a different company name at the time) in Singapore in 1995, it has been working great for over 20 years. Then I bought something else in Germany that I never liked. So what now? I went online again to find real Panasonic models, unfortunately I couldn't find them in Germany or Europe so the US was the only option. Ok then: - I ordered this model through Revain - I paid import duties - I had to buy a voltage converter to go from US 110V to…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Only available in white

Panasonic has taken a user-friendly approach and dropped many of the options normally offered by cookers of the same form factor. No timer, no choice of yoghurt, sticky rice etc. As a 7 day ripper I can tell you this is a step in the right direction - you will only ever use 2 of the 4 buttons on this model and they are white or brown . Rice. Compared to the DE-103, this 10 cup model cooks white rice better. Maybe it's the size and how it affects heat, as I'm pretty sure 'fuzzy logic', hotplates

Works great!: Rice Cooker

I bought this primarily to cook many different types of rice like white, jasmine, brown and other foods like quinoa and mixes. There is a slight scorch towards the center but I think it's the water ratio that I need to adjust from time to time. I personally DO NOT FOLLOW the water level in the inner pot as the rice gets very soft. I go 2-3 millimeters below the waterline. The quality of the device seems to be very good. The controls look simple and the quality of the non-stick inner pan is…

We've been using National (Panasonic brand) rice cookers and high end Panasonic rice cookers for - I don't know, probably decades. We bought this to replace another Panasonic 5 cup when the silicone seals finally broke after years of use. We received it on December 3, 2020 and it stopped working in mid-February. Now it just shows error code "H 02” and doesn't work at all. Looks like we'll have to pay shipping to a central service center for warranty repairs. Totally disappointed with this…
