DO NOT BUY - Cutlery & Knife Accessories

I was so excited to finally get a "Quality Knife". This is anything but true. It's dull and literally worse than knives from a decade ago. Don't listen to the reviews and DO NOT BUY!

Pros
  • Beautiful
Cons
  • I'm worried

Good knife, needs full blade protection

Just received and I can say that they are well made and fit my hand perfectly. Only beef has only one protective tip. There's nothing on the blade. It would be better if they had a full brimmed lid like in a plastic sleeve. Just be careful when keeping them loose. I keep mine in the box. Which is nice too.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • There are new competitors

Will make it a family heirloom

Lucky for me it was delivered just before the Christmas kitchen. It has been tested on all types of food and only laughed at. Feels good in the hand, easy to use, sharp and beautiful. To stretch the fault it wouldn't be the knife but I would like it to come with a blade cover. I used one of the OKs it replaced. It's too spicy to just toss in a box. I'm thinking of maybe hanging it on the wall to share its essence.

Great price for kitchen and dining area

The knife is attractive, especially the wooden handle. I don't like fake damascene, but it's a matter of style. Seems sharp, I've been using it for about a month. No rust or other issues, I'm not sure if it's high carbon stainless steel. BUT I always hand wash and dry immediately. I have several sets of ultra-premium knives, most of which are over thirty years old, so I'm very careful. For the money, Paudin is a great solution, but the more careful you are, the happier you will be.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Came back for something better

Bought 2 of these in 2 separate orders. The metal butt of the 1st knife had an extremely rough edge at the junction of the metal and the wooden handle. It was inconvenient to use. Bought another one to see if it's the only one. It's not like this. It turned out that the second knife had the same uneven edge. The wooden handle of the second knife was torn. This is a nice knife but the workmanship leaves a lot to be desired and the design of the knife is so-so. It is very unbalanced as the blade…

Poor quality stainless steel

I bought both a paring knife and a chef's knife. They have a good balance, they do well at this point BUT. This is an inferior grade of stainless steel that I wasn't aware of until I got it. If you've read how to care for these knives, it says they need to be thoroughly dried to prevent rusting. Good stainless steel does not rust. I have good quality stainless steel knives that I bought in the late 70's or early 80's and let dry after washing. Not a single grain of rust in all these years. I…

Actually quite nice.

At first I was annoyed by the damask pattern engraved on the blade. Cheesy! I now note in the description that they are honest, it's just a facade. So I can't accuse them of dishonesty, but I realize that the knife would be much "better" without that crappy decoration. What can I say, a good knife. The wood of the handle is pleasant to the touch; grippy but not too much, and the finish is decent. I have no idea if the shaft goes through the handle or how well the end is attached. If my daughter

Great knife but no sheath

I was going to give this knife 5 stars overall but why no sheath? That doesn't mean it's included, of course, but I wouldn't want to keep it in a box all the time. I also don't like that it's just in a drawer. Why? He's hot! Any chef will tell you that a blunt knife is more dangerous than a sharp one. Do not worry. This knife is sharp. Definitely an attractive knife. And more importantly, great for slicing and slicing small fruits and vegetables. It's also a great size for people like my wife…

Nicely made and sharp

This knife is not only very functional but also aesthetically pleasing. I like the wooden handle and the wood grain on the blade. Just a really cool knife. I find it easy to use and fairly sharp and accurate. A comfortable weight for me - not too heavy and not too light. The blade is made of carbon steel, so it must be dried immediately after washing to avoid rusting. I don't mind, because that's how I use all my knives; However, if you prefer to let your knives air dry, you must remember to…
