Powering up your Network with Ease

This transceiver is a great addition to any networking setup. The installation is incredibly easy and hassle-free, making it perfect for individuals with little to no networking experience. Its passive SFP design and H10GB data rate make it ideal for speedy transfers between computers. However, the short length of the cable may pose some restrictions for certain setups. Overall, a great investment for anyone looking to enhance their networking capabilities.

Pros
  • Cost-effective alternative to fiber optics for short distance connections.
Cons
  • Limited range and transmission speed compared to fiber optics, making it unsuitable for long-distance connections or applications that require high bandwidth.

Works well with Ubiquiti Unifi Gear

This connects Unifi Dream Machine Pro to Unifi Switch. no drama The main reason for using this connection between them is that it's supposed to use less power, meaning both devices will run a little cooler.

Pros
  • Computers and Accessories
Cons
  • Quick Guide

Ideal for connecting two SFP+ devices

I'm upgrading my network to 10GB, so I order a 10GB SFP+ card for my Synology Enterprise NAS. With this SFP+ cable I connected it to the NAS and my Microtik 10Gb switch. Bam, 10GB of speed from a six year old NAS. (Maybe it's 6 years old, but it has a 2.7GHz Xeon processor, 32GB RAM and 12 x 10TB SAS drives. I'd say it's worth upgrading. Previously the NAS had 4 1GB network connections.

Pros
  • Network transceiver
Cons
  • Not sure
