tried them on at a bike shop to choose the size and then went to Amazon to buy them. they are very comfortable and tight. I was concerned about quickly putting them on and taking them off during the transition period as they require some effort. However, the more they "break", the easier it is. So essentially get them well in advance of the race so you have time to practice with them. overall a great shoe. would buy again.

I found the overall volume of this shoe to be too small. The length was ok and they were a bit tight. However, I could barely get my foot in the boot without pulling the velcro out of the hole. Once my foot was in the boot, my ankle would compress if I didn't fasten the velcro just 1/2 of the way. No way will they work on putting them on quickly in a racing situation. If you have a smaller foot, they will probably fit you. It should be noted that I don't usually find my legs that big.
