Don't buy to keep large breed puppies or toddlers away. Easy to open

Bought this to keep our big pup out of the cat room. A few days later she managed to yank it out the door and into the room. Basically, I wanted to keep her away from her food, which she ate as soon as she entered the room. This is a large breed puppy but I was hoping this product would live up to its design. I would not buy again. I have a plastic lever latch system that I bought on Amazon for another room she can't get past and was going to order another of these but they were out of stock…

works great on cats

Where has it been all my life? I had literally been fighting my dog over a litter box for a couple of years and had no idea such products existed. We used the glue method and it definitely glued. I suppose it would be outrageous to remove him when we move, but damn it's nice to know he doesn't eat Katzenstein anymore. For that we will repaint the door and call it a victory. My little cat doesn't even slow down when going through the hole, but even a brawny cat can get through just fine. My dog…

The perfect way to keep your dog out of the litter box

This closure is the perfect solution for keeping dogs out of the trash. We originally used a cat opening gate but it was very cumbersome to carry clothes baskets through the gate. We had to screw the handle into the door and the doorpost keeps two of my very strong Labs out of the basement and the bedding. I will say my 65 lb lab climbed through the hole in the pet gate we used but absolutely can't get through that latch (and she's trying). You can move the latch on the door frame to increase…

Why didn't I know it existed!?

This item is amazing! I wish I had known this for the last 20 years of my life as a cat owner! I have 2 cats. One is small and slim, the other huge (probably a Maine Coon mix). I also have 2 dogs, one of which lives in the litter box. I was worried my XL cat wouldn't be able to get through the door with it, but she has no problem. My dog has tried to get it but to no avail and she is strong. It was very easy to install. There was no glue left so I used the screws that came with it. It was very…

I don't think it's for a stubborn dog.

I have a strong beagle. I originally had a door strap from another company that worked fine for over a year. Eventually he managed to take it off (no harm). I put new glue on it but a few days later it took it off again. I was hoping this article would work better for him. There are three installation methods (1st tape, 2nd screws, 3rd both), I used tape and screws together. My dog entered the forbidden room within 5 minutes of first using this unit (24 hours after installation) and damaged…

That works great! I was concerned because of some of the reviews.

We got a cat two weeks ago and after a few days we realized we needed a way to keep her food off our 11 pound Miniature Pinscher. Someone at the orphanage mentioned a "hook" so I sought help from Revane and found this. The thing works perfectly. We mounted it with 3m poster hangers because we didn't want to damage the door with screws or VERY sticky looking adhesive pads. That works great! I was concerned as some of the reviews seemed to indicate that as my dog is small it could happen - no…

No more pooping for you, Mr. Corgi.

A fantastic solution to our problem. My dog (Pembroke Welsh Corgi) LOVES carrying snacks out of the tray. (ie he eats poop, which is gross considering how much he loves to lick people.) Our old apartment had a large closet, so we put the litter box on top of a drawer so he couldn't reach it. (Take that, you short-legged fiend!) Our new house has a coffin-sized closet, so we had to put a tray in the laundry room. The crate we used at the old location was too big to fit in the washer and dryer…

Lets my cat in and out without letting my dog in.

I made mine smaller because my 65 lb dog could squeeze through when set to the widest opening. The 5.5 inch width is just enough for my 14 lb cat to get in and out without the dog getting in. I ended up having to use a drill to drive mine into the wall because when I just used the supplied sticky pads my dog was able to knock anything off the wall. Now that I figured it out, it works great. I use mine to allow my cat to roam freely around the house and lock my dog in my room when I'm away. My…
