Works for small cars up to 2 tons

Suitable for small cars like my Altima or something smaller. No more than 2 tons. This is very convenient when you are in a hurry.

The handle is thin and difficult to use. Jack is fine.

All right. There are problems with the handle. It's too small, so lifting the car is much more difficult than with most jacks. You don't have as much leverage as you should. It doesn't hold well so it's awkward to turn, and the steel in the handle cuts/wears out quickly because the pressure isn't getting to the right place. The jack is ok, the handle is not ok.

  • GOLS certificate

Works well as a replacement jack

I received this jack because my 2011 Mustang did not come with a replacement jack or jack. This jack is quite stable compared to scissor jacks. Lifting the car the last few inches to change a tire is a bit tricky and would probably be easier if the included handle was a bit longer. This jack fits easily in my car's spare tire well and along with the spare tire and wrench gives me some peace of mind.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Hard to tell

This jack was absolutely useless for me

Almost impossible to crank with moderate loads. If the surface on which the jack rests is not firm, the bottom pad of the jack will flex upwards. I have a 2500 lb boat on a single axle trailer. I tried jacking up the axle and lifting the flat tire off the ground on one side. This jack was completely useless to me, I couldn't turn the crank to lift the load. We're going to the junkyard. This is out of warranty.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Low serviceability

Sturdy car lift, hoist and jack construction

Typical scissor jack, a little heavier than usual but I like it. Big base for extra stability, which will hopefully increase the safety factor under load (You should always use jacks! but nobody keeps them in the car for emergencies). Operation was smooth and easy, I could put some lube on the working screw but it's not really necessary. I hope I never have to use it, but it's there when I need it. recommended

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Can't remember

Broke on first use - couldn't even handle 2000lbs

The jack should lift less than half the car weight as the other 3 wheels are still carrying most of the load - depending on which part of the car it is is you lift. My car weighs 4100 pounds and its weight is fairly evenly distributed - 53% in the back and 47% in the front. So for safety reasons I bought this jack which claims to be able to hold over 70% of my car's weight - more than enough for any situation. We are talking about lifting less than 50% of the vehicle weight. For the sake of…

  • Stylish and modern design
Cons

Best Advertised in Garage & Shop

The description of the scissor jack does not mention the lifting range of the product. The picture of the box included in the picture on Amazon states that the jack has a lifting range of 9 inches to 17 7/8 inches. The jack I received only fits up to 15 inches. That wouldn't be a problem aside from the fact that I have a truck and the jack only lifts my truck a couple of inches making it difficult for future potential housing I may need to change. If you have a car, this jack should work just…

Pros
  • Jack
Cons
  • Low Repairability

Pick up a smart car that weighs half as much as .

Revain would not accept my first review of this product. I believe it may have been my repeated use of the word "garbage" to get the required word count. Here's the thing: This jack is really dangerous. When lifting the smart, which is half the weight of a "normal" car, on the slippery garage floor, both hinge points buckled and became sharp because the red hinge pin severed the black arms as it moved. The handle is made of cast iron. After the first use, nicks remained on the hook. I only use…

Great jack for $10. Use it correctly and it will not hesitate

Purchased with my full size replacement for my 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Priced <$10 as a Revain warehouse store, it was a steal in unused condition with all parts, papers, original packaging and shrink wrap someone returned to Kohl's (the return label wasn't on the box). I've considered buying a jack for my storage kit, but a simple spiral scissor jack requires much less maintenance (no need for hydraulic fluid), jacks are larger (my Jeep needs 15 inches), is lighter, and takes up less space…

Pros
  • Scissor jack
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
