very strong - cat doors, railings and steps

So I bought these for a slightly heavy pit bull with a sore hip from being hit by a car before being rescued off the road. All other dogs could jump or be picked up, but she was too big to be picked up and too injured to jump. They far exceed the power we needed for them. Also, our bed is quite high, so the extra step was very important to her.

Pros
  • Great overall specs
Cons
  • A few small things

My dog loves these stairs!

We bought these pet ladders for our little 20 lb Schnauzer mix. He loves hanging out on our glass porch but is too small to look over the fence into neighboring yards where there are other dogs, squirrels etc. The stairs were easy to assemble and the steps were washable. They're pretty strong, although not that heavy, because they're made of composite plastic. Our dog knocked them over once when he seemed to jump sideways, but he usually walks down the steps to dismount. When we put her on the…

Great for small dogs.

I have a 38 inch high bed and I built a ramp for my dogs. I chose this ladder after carefully reading the reviews. First, some dogs don't mind a slight incline on the stairs, of my two 15 pound Chi mixes, one doesn't mind and the other does. I solved this problem by folding a small rug and placing it under the stairs. Problem solved. My dogs are used to going up and down a long ramp so these stairs don't scare them, needed some treats to encourage them and after 4 ups and downs it's nothing…

Paintable and easy to assemble. Works with small dogs.

I bought 2 sets of these steps. First, they are easy to assemble as the pieces just snap into place. TIP: When assembling, you must be straight with the holes, otherwise there may be problems. I drew both steps as I attached one to show. The carpet can be easily removed as they are attached with Velcro. Makes painting and cleaning easier. So far they have held up perfectly and are high enough to reach our large double bed. I have 3 Yorkies weighing 20, 9 and 6 pounds and they are all stair…

Sturdy, good height for my loft bed

There aren't many dog steps that fit my 30" loft bed so I was glad to find these. There was a small discount on it and it was an obvious return but I went in to get a discount and the parts were in good condition. A major downside was that it came with no instructions. It wasn't a big loss. I finally found a YouTube video for a scaled down version that at least gave me an idea of the build. A word to those who don't have instructions, please see how to install the parts that close the stairs…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Nothing

Terrible instructions but really great stairs!

I like these ladders. They are way better than the last ones I bought. Firstly, the instructions are really TERRIBLE. That's my only criticism. They need to be rewritten! Just as bad as if they numbered all the parts and then assembled them. I found them obscure and I'm no fool when it comes to montage. Luckily, if you don't pay attention to what they're saying and look at the pictures, they're pretty intuitive. If the pieces are difficult to glue together, it's a good idea to add some…

  • Permanent test results

Fantastic steps. Sturdy enough for my 100 lb dog

First thing I will say. NOT FOR HUMAN USE. They will bend and collapse if a person (over 120 pounds, maybe even less because you're only standing on two legs) tries to scale them. But it's great for dogs. My bed is 30cm high or so and it fits perfectly. It was the tallest bed I could find. Bunk bed, I'm worried that jumping from it will hurt her back. I had to remind them and give them an incentive to use steps, and I still do sometimes because, well, they're dogs, but they're awesome, and once

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • High price

Perfect steps to get my dog in the pool!

So I use these steps in a very different way to most people. My dogs don't climb my furniture, but my 14-year-old golden retriever has always loved swimming. Our old house had an inground pool and she loved it. As she ages and her hind leg muscles become thinner, I figured hydrotherapy would be the best option for her. Do cardio exercises and use your back legs more without weight. We live in the country and the nearest dog therapy spa is about an hour away so I built my own. The problem was…
