Well this article is fine but the magnifying glass is not so good. The image is quite small and it might be worth spending a little more $$$ on a larger image to really see the details on the slide.

I need to view, sort and/or delete over 1000 slides and this viewer has saved me time, money and the hassle of setting up a projector and screen. This gives you a quick and clear overview of the slide and the slides go in and out smoothly.

This was a gift for a friend who wanted to look at slides taken years ago. The viewer is inexpensive and works well. I took off a star because we thought it could use a brighter backlight. Our slides may have caused a problem since they were 50, so take my review with that knowledge.

The advertised photograph of the slide viewer implies that the image of the slide occupies the viewer's front screen. That's not the case. The slide is visible when you look into the viewer and is barely larger than its original size. The slide is backlit but still small.

I received it and am very happy with it. I had some slides my husband made years ago. He died a year and 5 months ago. I didn't have anything to show slides and now I do. It came in two days. Now I have a few more boxes to rummage through. We didn't have such a good viewer a few years ago. Many Thanks.

Bought to replace a similar model from almost 40 years ago that has finally expired. I chose this one as it seemed to offer the best value for money (ie customer reviews versus price) and it looks like I made a wise choice. Only thing I wish the light was a little brighter but my age was about the same. The experience with the seller was great. Delivered quickly, no problems with the packaging.

This little device fits 35mm slides, turns on the light when the slide enters the groove and turns on off when the slide exits at the top/both sides. Sometimes tweezers (or nails) can help remove a stuck slide. While it doesn't "magnify" the slide (would be really nice), it allows you to see the (well-lit) subject clearly. handy tool for what he does.

Advertising and description are misleading. The photo with the illuminated slide is wrong. The photo shows a slide filling the viewport - it's not there. The description says the viewing area is 3.5 inches while mine is just over 2 inches. The description says there is a 2x zoom function - where? I do not see it. If you want a good magnifying glass, don't get this one. It really works and is easy to use - that's all I can say good about it.

I'm going through thousands of old family slides and need an inexpensive, quick way to preview the slides before cleaning them up and deciding whether or not to scan them. Very easy to use. Pressing a slide into the viewport turns the highlight on, and releasing it turns it off. For my purposes it was perfect.
