Description of 🔌 Polymaker 1" ABS Filament

🌡️ 【Impact and Heat Resistant】 - PolyLite ABS filament 1.75mm Blue is a very durable material engineered to reduce jamming. It provides high heat resistance (Vicat Softening Temperature: 104 ̊C) and good mechanical properties. PolyLite 3D print ABS Blue is a good choice for functional parts that require durability or high temperature resistance. 🛠️ 【Higher Stability】 - PolyLite 1.75 ABS Filament Blue( Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene Filament ) is made with a specialty bulk-polymerized ABS resin, which has significantly lower volatile content compared to traditional ABS resins. If you need some UV resistant feature, we recommed our UV resistant ASA filament for your outdoor requirements. 🔒 【Moisture Free】 - Our Polymaker Blue ABS filament 1.75mm comes in a vacuum-sealed, re-sealable bag with dessicant in it, in addition to being packaged in a sturdy, sealed box, worry-free high quality package to make sure the best printing performance of your filament. ♻️ 【Cardboard Spool】 - Comes in upgraded 3.0 version packaging with fully recycled cardboard spool and box. ⚠️ 【Important Note】 - Please pass the filament through the fixed hole to avoid tangles after use. 3D filament 1.75 requires a heat-bed and a proper printing surface to avoid warping. Big parts are prone to warp in domestic printers and odor when printed is stronger than with PLA. Using raft or brim or reduce the speed for the first layer could help avoid warping. ⚙️ 【Printing Settings】 - Nozzle: 245 ̊C - 265 ̊C; Bed: 90 ̊C - 100 ̊C; Speed: 30mm/s - 50mm/s; Bed Surface: BuildTak, PEI sheet with ABS slurry; Cooling Fan: LOW for better surface quality, OFF for better strength. 🛡️ 【RISK FREE & LIFETIME TECHNICAL SUPPORT】 - We offer a full refund if the product is not performing as expected. Let us help you get your perfect beatiful prints and contact us via Amazon anytime you need.

First time with ABS, better than expected

I've always avoided ABS since I heard about the styrene emissions, but after finding this bulk polymerized ABS I decided to give it a try. It smells slightly, but only if you hold your nose against the printer while pushing through a large amount of plastic (>10mm^3/s). I had no problem lifting the first layer or separating subsequent layers like many ABS stories. low fan (<10%) seemed to help melt overhangs on the surface of small parts = kapton tape diluted with elm/pva glue and then…

Great quality, here are some settings for it

I've always been afraid of ABS because it's so complicated, I've heard how it works. This printed perfectly (except for errors caused by not setting up my printer for months) with no warping or shrinking on the second try. Requirements: Some sort of chassis (I have the Creality Ender 3 popup), all-metal hot end/thermal protection. Recommended: PEI film (helped a lot), ventilation (HIGHLY recommended since it is ABS). What I learned on my first try is that 240C was too low for the nozzle, 80C…

High warp but pressure like clockwork

Update: I changed the slicing configuration to increase the temperature and decrease the speed to match the spec provided by Polymaker. I also left the coil in my dehumidifier for more than 10 hours on the maximum setting, which is still below the recommended drying temperature of 80°C. I've cleaned my sheet steel, added margins to my prints, and calibrated the printer. The prints came out a little better, but I did notice some warping, so I might have to be more aggressive with ABS mud or…
