Not for me. PLA burns out at a lower temperature.

To be honest, not that great. I had to bake it in an oven at a very high temperature and it smelled awful. Didn't get a good cast. While I have to admit that I'm new to metal casting, you should consider that when making your decision.

Pros
  • Polishability
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Attempting to make a skeletonized, lightweight gear for a device in prototyping. The filament is glued on (using a glue stick) and printed very well with the specified (usually PLA) settings. Shaped, dried/solidified, preheated and brought to temperature. At 850 F, the attachment cracked and fell apart, showing the part self-expanding and beginning to burn without a single drop from the mold. Totally dissatisfied with this product - it doesn't serve its purpose.

Pros
  • Lifetime Risk-Free Tech Support
Cons
  • Long Delivery Time

Prints well but clogs a lot of nozzles

I have worked with several different casting materials so was glad to see this product. Overall I'm happy with the performance, although I think working with a nozzle diameter of less than 0.04 will give you problems. I can get about one print out of each .03 gauge nozzle before I have to replace them. The .02 nozzle doesn't even print. It has pretty good adhesion to the bed, even directly to the glass, but be careful, prolonged heating will cause deformation, so I suggest heating the material…

Pros
  • No ash
Cons
  • I will add later
