🔒 Enhanced Pop & Lock PL2300 Tailgate Lock in Black: Exclusive Compatibility with Factory Steel Handle Review

First I bought the wrong version for my truck and had to return it and buy this one. The key for me was that there is a dust cover on the tailgate handle that needs to be removed. He took it off and made it all fit together properly. Then it remains only to install and test everything correctly. It only keeps the passenger side from being immobile, but it's solid steel and shouldn't be a problem. I'm assuming you need a lockpick to open without a key.

. I bought this to latch the back door of my 2000 Ford Ranger. It comes with fairly minimal instructions but I had no trouble installing it, it only took about 15 minutes. This places the tailgate handle about 3/16" from where it sits from the factory, which some people may not like, but I knew that before I ordered it from reading other reviews. This is the only product designed for this application. I had to lock the tools under the covers. So far this works great, but if you expect a product to be easy to apply, this isn't the case. Each part that came into contact with another had to be bent in a vise to ensure proper engagement. I sent back the first two I received and am using the third one which is also . we call it a fad. The first two - purchased from Revain - lacked the spring that forces the latch to close. The cam of the lock opens it, allowing the handle to open the tailgate. But without the spring, the assembly will never close and will be permanently unlocked.
