Description of ๐Ÿš› Power Stop KC2324-36 Z36 Truck & Tow Front Caliper Kit - Enhanced Drilled/Slotted Brake Rotors, Advanced Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Brake Pads, Calipers

Proprietary carbon-fiber ceramic materials enhance the strength of a typical ceramic brake pad compound to handle heavier loads. Low dust braking validated through on-vehicle 3rd party tests in Los Angeles, showing on average 30% less dust versus OE. Drilled and Slotted brake rotors are zinc plated for maximum protection against rust. The red powder coated brake calipers are coated with easy to clean powder coating helps to resist rust and corrosion and extends the life of calipers. Fitment: Toyota Sequoia 2007-2001; Tundra 2006-2000.

A year later / 11,000 miles, pretty happy.

2005 Tundra (Gen 1), V8 4WD. I've had a fair bit of brake work on this thing over the years, warped and rotated the rotors three times I think? Replaced once, deformed again. Then I ran into some rebuilt brake calipers just because of the warranty. Having had enough, I decided to overdo it myself a little instead of buying another dice roll at the store. The best solution so far. Installation was easy, I've never dealt with brakes before but there are enough videos on the internet and I can beโ€ฆ

HORRIBLE QUALITY CONTROL

Quality control is terrible. Please do yourself a favor and purchase one locally where you can inspect the parts prior to installation. I ordered a set of rotor and pads separately from the calipers. One rotor was shaped incorrectly, but I had to assemble the truck that way. I've been waiting for them to arrive for a week. The second problem was that one of the pistons in the caliper didn't sit flush in the caliper like the others. I tried using the clamp to push it further but it wouldn't goโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No instructions

Ordered all in one kind of deal for convenience and needed to get super brakes that really fit my Toyota Tundra 2002 2wd 4.7L V8 SR5. The rotors appear to be normal. Not sure if that's related or not as I'm not a mechanic, but they might be a little snug. Also, they hold up great with my $51 O'Reilly brake pads. I contacted Amazon and they happily and effortlessly discounted my $55 purchase. I'm sure if you buy Power Stop calipers the pads will fit, but my truck still needs to work on theโ€ฆ

Easy replacement, excellent materials/workmanship

I replaced the front rotors/brake pads on my 2004 Toyota Tundra. My wife or former owner (maybe even me) abused the brakes. They also vibrated at slow stops. After replacing the discs and pads, the brakes are very smooth. Just make sure to hack them using the included guidelines. You want a fairly long stretch of lightly used road where you can get around 40mph and do some pretty tough stops with cool downs. It doesn't take long and the results are worth it. Be sure to carefully inspect theโ€ฆ

This actually worked on my base 1999 4runner

So I scoured the 4runner boards for advice on the best way to upgrade my front brakes on my 1999 4runner. This is the recommended set. Not the cheapest route, but one of the best options. I was looking forward to the delivery. It arrived on time and as described by Revane. The confusion came when I removed my old calipers and rotors and found that the rotors for this particular kit were over an inch larger in diameter than the ones I had removed. Instant Panic. I ordered the wrong thing? Didโ€ฆ
