Fits perfectly! All nuts and bolts fit without any problems! The hardest part about this job was the spot where you could break your knuckles!? Everything about this car is tough!

Fits perfectly. Works great after a week. I would recommend removing the driver's side wheel and gaining access under the car. Very easy to change which says a lot as I'm certainly not a mechanic.

Generator itself is good. Installed on an Xterra and after about 25 miles the nut holding the pulley loosened and broke off. (C'mon Six Sigma folks!) Thank goodness I have an Optima battery to have enough juice to hobble home. Rule number 1. Check the parts before you install them! I now have a good paperweight as the alternator shaft threads were damaged by the pulley.

Installed PG-13789 generator (new pro) on a 2002 Xterra. Fairly easy installation requiring only a small screw (not supplied with the generator). The multitester showed good results and everything worked fine for 2 weeks then the low battery warning started flashing. This review relates to the new Premier Gear PG-13789 professional alternator. As long as the generator itself works well. We had a problem with one of the screws. My son snapped it open and it broke off about 3/4 inch. $966 later at the dealer the mechanic told me it was the wrong size alternator. I would be very cautious about investing in yourself. This proved to be a costly complication with a brand new screw. It would certainly have been possible without it!
