I did the measurements for the key size, still too large for the valve. Snapped off the 2nd time I used it. Not sure if it was because I was out in the cold so long to maneuver it that the metal just snapped

The product is very useful when you need to turn off the water supply! Bought one for our plumber who had always used just a screw driver.

I like that this tool is inexpensive enough that I can leave it in my water meter box to use every time I go to my camp and need to turn the water off and on.

I was pleasantly surprised how strong and well made this water meter wrench was when I received it. It is only 12" long, so if your meter is very deep in the ground, it may not be long enough. My meter is very close to the surface, so it is a perfect size.

Worked for my shutoff but I didn't realize it was so short it's only about 1 foot long. might not be good if your shutoff is further down in the ground.Can you believe my house doesn't have a shut-off built-in? What the heck.

I will be sending it back. The length was advertised as 17 inches but when I inspected the purchase it was only 16 inches. That's my feedback.

I haven't had to use it yet, but be aware that it is much shorter than it appears in the photo. Perhaps I didn't check the dimensions. I thought it would be a little shorter than a shovel, but you have to bend in half to reach the ground. Not a problem, I just thought the photos are a little off. I have had inly one occasion to usw this tool since I recieved it, and it worked perfectly, as advertized. It arrived in perfect condition, appears to be of very sturdy material and workmenship. It's extremly useful to have. I would recommend this tool for anyone living in a home for that "oh crap" moment when a pipe or some-such bursts, or you need to perform a bit of plumbing. This orfer also came with a small Adapter tool for water spickets and such, very handy. Recommend fully. :)

This is CERTAINLY not "Contractor Grade". The description says 12", but if you make the same mistake I did and gloss over the description in favor of the pictures, you would think its much longer and sturdier. It's not ! It will probably be better than a crescent wrench or channel locks. but not much. Twelve inches in length means you will still be laying on the ground with your head in a hole.

Smaller than I thought, but the meter key works great to open and close main house water supply at the meter. Like the yellow handles makes gripping the meter key easy when turning at the underground meter box.

I purchased this item to turn off the water main to the house in order to switch out the Kitchen sink faucet. It was priced fairly, came on time, and is a sturdy piece of equipment. I am pleased with this purchase.

I really would have thought all water meter shutoffs were the same, but maybe not. The slot for this fits around my thumb, and my water meter valve is less than a half inch thick.

Came very fast just what I needed. I often have to turn city main valve off when I have busted water line and often hassle to find city employee to do it especially on weekends. Now I won’t have to!
