I have been looking for non plastic and non metal serving spoons. I've only used once but really like them. And they look so good I might even keep them out!

Very pleased with this purchase. I got these ladles from my husband for Christmas and while I was admiring them, my toddler snatched one from my lap and banged it on the floor like a drum, chipping a piece right out of it a mere SECONDS after getting it. The spoons are large and deep enough for soups, even the small one in the set can be used as serving spoon of soup, three to four scoops will fill a a normal cereal bowl. Washed them before use, no chemical or paint smells. Have been used them for about two months, no wear or broken.

I would like the spoons if it weren’t for the color. I was expecting brown, these are like an orange yellow. I want to like them, but they’re so ugly.

Nice wooden ladle and scoop, and a free spatula but all had some kind of artificial shiny coating. Don’t like the smell nor taste that came off these. Will have to sand the coating off and re-coat with food grade wood oil. Somewhat disappointing especially given the nice craftsmanship for these utensils. Seller should ask maker not to coat these, and leave them as natural. We can coat with food grade wooden oil ourselves.

Wooden ladles have a good sturdy weight to them. They are a nice size to be able to use in deep/large pots. Highly recommend.

These spoons did not disappoint! They are large, deep, sturdy and pretty. Perfect for soups, stews, sauces, quinoa, etc. I also like that they don’t mark the cookware or Dutch oven.

I just wanted some wooden ladles so I can move away from plastic ones. These are exactly what I needed and they even sent a nice spatula with my order. Super nice quality. My pic shows the size with a regular teaspoon.

We got a nice Italian pan which cooks like a dream with Canola oil. I stuck this wooden spatula to the egg it practically jumped on and stuck. I suspect these are poly coated and NOT for cooking. Don't recommend for cooks.

I really want to like these, especially with the free spatula.They really have a "Gilligans Island" vibe.I love the look and feel and size of them.As others have stated though, instantly you realize this ain't no oil coating you've ever seen.Looks like an acrylic or epoxy coating.Could be clear coat car paint for all I know.Could be shiny cancer for all I know.I'm afraid its either just admire these, or sand them down really good to are wood and oil them.Shame.

These spoons are better than expected. They are beautifully made and sturdy. The spoons are deep enough to serve casseroles and even could be used for soup. I was looking for deep spoons like this to replace some that I had lost.it is hard to find deep spoons that don't have the curved handles like ladles. These were a great purchase!

I assume the finish is some kind of polyurethane but don't know. Since I got them to use with food and don't know the temperature range or if the finish is food safe I felt it was safe to remove. After sanding the old finish off and applying a liberal amount of mineral oil they are pretty nice. Nice sizes and useful shapes and good handle lengths. I like this style over standard ladles.
