Tough little tool: Sport

A very useful little tool for getting into those hard-to-reach places. I've used it to work in my hot tub, washing machine, my car, and to build shelving. It's very well designed. I was concerned because it was so cheap it would have sucked, but it didn't. While working on my washing machine, I attached a cheater tube and applied quite a bit of torque to it, the kind of pressure that can break many tools. But it is not broken and my admiration for this baby has increased greatly. I highly…

Treat yourself to this great tool

I don't know how I managed to work on my bikes for 10 years without it. It's one of the most useful, feature-rich, well-designed, and frankly the coolest tool I've used in a long time. I plan on getting a few more to have the bits I use most in the stash. Everyone I've allowed to use this tool will or has already purchased one or more. I also bought a 1/4" adapter to use the bits on my torque wrench and it also worked better than many similar products I've used.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Good idea, lacks QA and support.

This is a good idea and the right size for what I need. But it lacks both quality assurance and support. One of the bits in my set was too big for a ratchet. Just one of them. It has been more than three weeks since I reported this to the seller. It took me a week to get a reply confirming it was a warranty issue, asking for my address and confirming that this was the only issue which I responded to quickly. Another two weeks passed and I still hadn't responded. I don't hear from them anymore…

The ratchet is fantastic, the bits are lacking

I originally saw this in a dropper arm installation video where it was used around the seat post. I checked it out and was intrigued as it seemed perfect for some limited bike space and seemed fantastic for the price. I'm not here to say it isn't because the ratchet is great, I've used it on my seat, calipers, brake levers and dropper arm before. However, I got a few "bad beats". A 3mm hex (which is rarely used on my bike) and a 25 torx (e.g. SRAM) are slightly different and I'm afraid using…

Great little tool: Cycling

Great little tool. The selection of beats is excellent. Actually more variety than the Park and Pedro toolkits. The ratchet on the tool is of good quality, as is the Topeak ratchet (as far as I can tell). I needed 2mm for the lock on the ODI handles I have (surprisingly small bits are less common in common bit sets). I used this tool just yesterday to fix a squeak in the steering column/stem, it came in handy (need a torque wrench for final tightening). A great little tool for the price. It's…

Amazing quality, I want to give it 10 stars!

I have both the Topeak Ratchet Rocket and the Great Neck Mini Ratchet. That shames both of them. It weighs less than both (29.0g), has a great smooth surface and superior action (identical to the Great Neck ratchet but with a cleaner, sharper surface and therefore smoother action) and great design. The slight tilt of the head makes it ideal for hard-to-reach places. The rated torque (60Nm) is much more than I can apply manually, which is perfect. Convenient position of the direction switch on…
