Not right. Requested a refund

This would be a good latch for a sliding door if the door was new and unavailable. However, I already had a latch that was missing a tiny screw. I made the mistake of thinking it was a coincidence and sent it back. I was lucky I found a knowledgeable assistant at Lowe's and we found the missing screw.

Perfect replacement for my

Worked almost perfectly to replace my previous one which was the same look and size. I only had to keep a couple of the previous screws due to the size of the pre-drilled hole on my door, the screw provided was too flimsy but that's no big deal. Also, the inner flat piece is shorter than my previous one, but that hasn't affected its use.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Very expensive

Fits perfectly on my included Milgard screen door

This latch fits perfectly on my 20 year old (and brand new) Milgard screen door. It is much better finished and designed than the original. I'm very happy with it! As you may know, Milgard does NOT make screen doors that come with smooth sliding doors. That's why they don't sell replacement bars. I had to look and ask around to find them. I'm very glad I did! You are wonderful!

  • Handy item

The perfect combination: door hardware and locks

Perfect replacement! I used this part to replace a broken handle on my screen door and it fitted the door EXACTLY. Even the screw holes were in the same places. It looks like the replacement screws are a bit larger, which was good because they really helped them hook into the holes and stay in place. I had to adjust the latch on the inside of the door a bit to match the replacement handle, but that's about it. Easy to install and comes with everything I need. It was delivered MUCH quicker than…

Works with Milgard Screen Doors

As another reviewer wrote, this works great with Milgard Screen Doors. The main caveats I encountered were: (1) I had to file the latch where the retaining screw attaches because it was too thick to fit in the latch slot on the door. Regardless, the retaining screw still worked fine after I sawed it off enough to fit the door. (2) I used my original screws to attach the handle to the door frame because the new ones were too long. Despite these minor modifications, this pen looks great, fits…

Easy install with a few modifications

A previous homeowner installed this sliding patio door years ago before I moved into the house. The old handle eventually broke and I found one just like Revain. It took a while to assemble because of the screws. Not sure if it was something the previous homeowner had to deal with when installing or if the size of the screws changed? For me the old bolts didn't "snag" and the new bolts were too long and pushed the other latch of the new handle. I ended up using just a couple of hand held bolt…
