Perfect for replacing existing door hangers that have broken

This was the exact size for an existing pocket door with broken hangers (just measure the existing one being replaced to make sure it's the same size). You will need 2 people to install this (someone holds the door while a second person inserts the roller into the notch).

Not!: Door hardware and locks

These reels fell apart after three months. A month later we heard another knock on the door. Three months later I dismantled the door and found that a wheel on one roller had broken and a bearing on another roller had collapsed. This was installed on the master bedroom pocket door. Not heavily used or abused, so why break it? We also tried to contact the manufacturer but they never answered us. I do NOT recommend.

  • Great overall performance

  • Some minor things

Easy to install; Not happy with durability

This was an exact replacement (same brand, model number) for the previous rollers on my pocket door. The previous reels lasted about 8 months before the stem broke off the wheel assembly. When installing new rollers, one of the wheels cracked. (I fixed with glue.) This seems to be the only brand that makes this size 13/16". Not happy with the short lifespan of the product.

Fits my old casters exactly but thicker wheels

I was trying to replace the old pocket door casters which are exactly the size and look of this model but the wheels on this model have a slightly larger one Diameter and doesn't fit in my door pocket. They have slightly thicker wheels. My old one broke the white plastic part in the middle of the roller. Since it's like new I detached the wheels from the plastic piece and fitted my old wheels onto the new white center piece and refitted the casters. It still works.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

The nylon guide broke on the first pass after installing the roller

I have ordered 2 of these rollers. They were the only ones I could find that matched my trail. Both installed. After opening and closing the traverse once, the nylon guide broke in half. I was able to use one of my old rollers and asked for a replacement. If you have the choice to upgrade to a more durable reel, do so. If you're like me and need this size for your track, good luck. We recommend lubricating the nylon before installation. This most likely will not prevent breakage, but will allow

Broken rollers moved quieter than these.

I ended up having to replace both sets of wheels so I had to remove the bag door from the wall. Not as hard as I thought until it's time to put the door back on. only one problem The rollers rattle and rub when the door is opened, which may be due to the striker bar touching the channel. How to repair? Update: Over time these 'new' rollers get louder and sound like bad bearings. I have to take the door back out of the wall to replace it. Too early to change a new rolling bearing. I have updated

Low quality - suitable for hollow doors only - one roller unit per pack

Update: As mentioned the new rollers are larger than the original rollers and will not fit my track. Of the two rollers in the assembly, one has a bad bearing and will barely turn. Now that I have experience I am changing my rating to one star. I recommend not buying them if you can find an alternative. Three years ago a contractor used these rollers to support a front gate that was sold. The bearings are worn but I gave five stars believing the rollers will last a long time when used with a…
