Not worth the price, but not a scam either.

high quality and authentic. Bought for about $30, costs about $15. This is a decent everyday corkscrew for a pro, and it's a good, solid weight. But I still considered returning it because it's only a 4 star product. (3 stars in this review due to the price). I decided to keep him as my daily backup bartender. But I would never recommend it to a friend or colleague.

This corkscrew is the bomb!

Teflon-coated screw mechanism slides directly into the cork material. Two support points on the pull arm mechanism so you can use one for the initial pull and the other to fully pull out the cork. Single point linkage makes it difficult to grab the rim of the bottle on the first puff while also creating too much of an angle later in the puff so you don't pull the cork straight up, which can sometimes break the cork. Cork. This is by far the best corkscrew I have ever used and I have used it…

Much better than fancy gimmicks

I love love love this thing. I've had a few "fancy" bottle openers and all kinds of designs - bunnies, winged corkscrews, a two prong corkscrew, weird, a bit like a lily, and this one is by far the best. It's durable and won't break easily like others. The corkscrew is smooth and easy to step on. The knife is comfortable and easy to open. All connections are flexible and easy to open and close. You can use it on both corks and beer bottles. I know counterfeiting is a problem with this item but…

My new favorite corkscrew

Non-stick coating on the corkscrew, what an idea! It has never been so easy to screw a screw in or out of a cork and I can't believe I've never had a cork like this before. I've used waiter's corkscrews in the past and never got tired of them. They didn't unplug all the way, or they were awkward to screw in before unplugging. Worse, I often struggled to get the cork out once I managed to pry the cork out of the bottle, using more brute force than leverage. This one doesn't have such problems…

Great corkscrew but make sure you get a real one

This is a great corkscrew but make sure you get a real pulltap corkscrew. It will cost you at least $30 and is worth every penny and then some. There is another fake that is sold in China for around $12 and although at first glance it looks very similar to the real thing, it cannot be replaced. If you look at the photo below you can see them side by side and it shows a BIG difference. First and most obvious is that the original is made of machined metal, while the fake is made of finely stamped

  • Questionable purchase for seniors

Great until it breaks. Terrible guarantee.

This corkscrew was great until it broke. The screw penetrates the cork gently and has the right pitch to not tear or break even a thin cork. The angle of the lever is ideal for all but the stubborn corks, allowing them to be removed with ease. The teeth on the foil cutter blade effortlessly cut lead, plastic and almost any type of foil. The problem was that the corkscrew broke after only 4 months of normal domestic use. The screw would not engage, the problem was with the spring clamp in the…
