I used to use Fram oil filters but after seeing the innards of one I switched to Purolator filters due to their quality construction.

I've read the reviews on the filters, some of them break on the inside but they seem fine on the outside. Search the internet for your car which filters to avoid. I'm glad I found it performed very well in tests. It's pennies more than other cheaper filters, but I don't have to worry about it failing and ruining an expensive engine.
