Reliable, works as it should

The transformer looks very solid. I managed to drop it and it survived with a small dent. Works as expected. It's by no means small or portable. There are other reviews complaining about the smell. Yes, the paint they used for the metal box is very caustic. The smell is very strong when you first open it. I've been airing the unit out in my garage for a few days and I can still smell the paint. The smell will go away in about a week.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Low maintenance

It's not for 500W

It's just a fake As there weren't 2 extra fuses in the kit I wanted to know how many amps it could be, the first problem, the fuse connector has been solved to fix it to fix . opened the PVTC320U, to my surprise, the power transformer is only 300W. Never works with 500W power and of course the fuse is rated at 4 amps. You're smart, the instructions say: 300W maximum power rating for a 500W step-up transformer.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • boring packaging

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Poorly packaged, it came wrinkled and with breaks in the flow.

The product seems good, but it was only packed in a plastic bag in its original packaging, without bubble wrap. When I picked up the package from the porch, it was already rattling. Bad sign. They are strong and heavy but still contain small intestines. The metal case had a dent and what appeared to be metal cracks underneath. It lights up/works intermittently so I'm sending it back. Not the best way to pack such a heavy product with electrical components.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I will write later

Please note that there is a jumper on the back that needs to be changed - the default setting was 110V, although the front socket reads 220V! Worked fine after I flipped it. Pros: Works very well. delivers clean, consistent performance. Bought so I can use a 240v Commodore Amiga 1200 in the EU until I can get a US PSU for it. Cons: not suitable for travel as it's quite heavy and bulky, but if you're in the US and find you need to power something that requires 220v or 240v, this will help! The…

Firmly. Easy. Is working!

I recently bought a micro stereo with an EU/UK plug. The stereo doesn't have a built in voltage switch so I had to find a way to get it to work. in business. All I had to do was move the pin on the back of the transformer to match our 110v power supply, then plug the transformer into an outlet and turn it on. After that, all that remained was to connect the stereo to the 220V socket on the front of the transformer and turn on the stereo. Great.** And yes, the Transformer *stinks* right out of…

Reliable AC converter

I had bought a 220V scale in India. I was looking for a safe and reliable product. Because it was connected to electricity. After a thorough search and reading many reviews. I have decided on a product from PYLE. The product is well put together and can be operated by anyone even without sufficient technical knowledge. When I turn on the power converter. The first thing that struck me was the quietness of the product. There is no transformer hum at all. This means that the transformer is…

  • Good but not great

The first was used and damaged, the second does not work.

The first one we received was obviously used and damaged. Replaced for a second. The second does not light up. We checked the fuse, it seems to have blown. There should have been two extra fuses, but none were found. The unit looks new but if it's new why isn't it working and why was the fuse blown and why weren't there two extra fuses? Crashing after only two uses

Literally the second time I used this PSU it failed. I'm not sure what exactly went wrong, but the original fuse blew. Perhaps the burden was too great. I didn't think the Amiga 500's power supply (220V) would draw too much. Now, even with no load connected, if I turn on the buck converter when connected to 110V, the fuse will blow immediately. I tried replacing the fuse with 4A, it also blew immediately. When I measure the resistance between two AC wires with a voltmeter, I get just over 1…
