Too loose to tow

I purchased this product because I had a 4-way connector that was interfering with my boat's wiring connections. The package came quickly and there is a pin in it, but I have a pin because people like to steal things like that. I can tell you I'm not a fan of this hitch because as soon as I started towing my boat I felt like it was giving out. I thought I might have missed something when attaching the boat, but it turned out that the clutch in the receiver was a bit loose. As soon as I received

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Easily repairable

Great budget hitch but I didn't have enough buoyancy.

This is a 2 inch drop or a 1.5 inch rise. I bought this for my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan which has an aftermarket tow bar that comes out low under the bumper like a car. With significant effort and two lengthened crescent wrenches, I was able to pry the ball out and toggle to create lift. However, the lifting platform is not sufficient for my car. My two boats, one 16ft and the other 17ft, sit too low on the wagon even with no gear and no people. Next time I'll try a 4" drop and a 3.5"…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Functionality

Big problem, with a few notes

So the problem was great, removing the ball was a pain but I won't say I'm an expert on the subject. It was quite tight, I had to wait to attach the hitch to the car so I could tuck it in to remove the ball. I used a massive adjustable wrench above and a special long wrench specifically for ball nut removal. I slowly took it off, I put on some PB Blaster beforehand to loosen it up a few days before. The nut was reusable but still I'm glad I don't intend to do this every day or I would have…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Doubt

Good deal but not easy to replace

Is this good quality? Heck yes, and more along with a stylus and attached 2" sphere, but you better plan on using the included sphere if you don't have an industrial machine shop. I wanted to change the ball but I couldn't grab it tight enough to keep it from slipping. I took everything out of the hitch and clamped the base of the ball in a four inch vise with a pry bar and put a half inch powered ratchet on the nut. The ratchet bent the crowbar and vise rail, so I put it in a 6" vise with a 3"

Pros
  • Excellent overall
Cons
  • Negative present

Okay but almost impossible to remove the ball

A very affordable option for starting the tow kit but I have the same complaints as everyone else. Here's the breakdown. Pros: Durable and easy to use. Fits perfectly in the receiver. Cons (don't let the length sway you without reading it first): It takes about 2 tons of force to remove a pre-installed ball hitch. To replace the ball, I turned the square piece sideways in the receiver so the ball was facing sideways. I then attached a vise to the nut and used a jack to raise the vise and loosen

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn
