The only reason I give them a 4 instead of a 5 is because the collars have to be very tight for even short haired dogs to respond to them.

This collar almost killed our dog. There was a short circuit and he was very badly burned. Two prongs burned all the way through the skin, leaving two holes that would almost fit in the pinky. Do yourself a favor and just train your dog properly without using a battery operated collar. I wish we hadn't tried that.

Good product, great price. I like the flashlight option on both the remote and collar. I lost my remote (or my dog probably ate it), emailed Extreme Dog Fence customer service and got a response from Pam within 12 hours. I called straight up and spoke to Krystal who sent me a new remote for free! Well that is great service and good value for money

I bought this trainer to control and train my two dogs (one a red boned raccoon dog and the other a German Shorthaired Pointer/Pitbull mix). After meeting the trainer, I only had to use the vibration twice. Otherwise, the audio function is sufficient. The batteries on the collars last a long time, I charge them every 1-2 weeks. The remote will hold a charge much longer (charged about four weeks ago. It's a great tool and I'd recommend it).

UPDATE: 👍👍👍👍👍 I received the collar, connected it to the receiver and now I have 3 good dogs! A 140# doberman collar, an 87# doberman collar and the most stubborn 11# mixed hairball. It is very easy to use. Teaching our dog to stay in the yard and listen to our commands is great. The remote control has sound, vibration and shock, all separate buttons to press. This way the dog will get warnings before you need to shock, which is good because our dog knows he will be shocked if he doesn't obey. He likes to hunt chipmunks and squirrels. This is a fantastic product! We have two dogs, a Miniature Schnauzer and a Labrador/Husky. It's very convenient to have 1 controller for both dogs and easily switch them as needed.
