We have an old house with very steep stairs. I put them on because the wooden stairs were a bit slippery. I was worried they wouldn't stay in place but they do, I had no problems. There are a couple of edges that don't fit exactly, I was worried it might be dangerous, but they don't seem big enough to worry about. They are very easy to fold and I was even able to reposition them. They look beautiful and I feel a lot better on my feet than on wooden stairs.

Advertisements said they were "self-adhesive", but when they arrive they don't really "stick". There is a form of non-slip material after the bottom plastic is separated, but it can still slip. It "CAY" works as advertised, but as a 67-year-old I didn't risk "falling down a whole flight of stairs" to find out. There is double sided tape included but I didn't think I would need it. I used it AND carpet nails. I was happy with the product but the description is a bit misleading.
