Another good tarpaulin clip

I have ordered three different brands of boat cover clips from Revain. Tecton, Kargolock and Scotty. The first two brands are identical and Scotty uses a slide cap instead of a screw cap. All three clips on the tarpaulin covering my boat survived last week's high winds with no problems. They were installed all winter. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these three.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other options

they grip quite well but are difficult to stretch

they grip well and especially when a rope is sewn to the edge of the tarpaulin they hold perfectly. However, it is difficult to fully tighten them. They unhook simply by pressing a snap button system. I use it for camping and also made a very cheap motorcycle cover out of it. This, along with a tarp and some elastic cords, resulted in a wind and waterproof cover that I was not afraid to steal.

Pros
  • satisfied so far
Cons
  • some problems

Endured 50mph wind and held on

Well these kids survived a very strong wind last week and got up and held my car cover securely in place. The wind is strong enough to knock down numerous large branches in the neighborhood. Take it easy, take it easy The trick is to position the teeth on the sewn end of the tarp, canvas, or cover where it folds in half. This works great on boats, log piles, BBQ tents, and anything that sways in the wind. These and some bungee cords are my best friends.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • I really don't like this everything is fine

Good product. For attaching the car cover.

I bought a car cover in August 2012 and immediately noticed that it needed fasteners. I was evaluating products from a car seat cover company and found them to be very expensive. I searched the internet and found that I could buy the same tarp clips and just attach them to the car cover with bungee cord and rope. The price of this item was great and shipping was very fast. Unfortunately the car was disassembled last November and I no longer need the car cover. But while I had it I was very…

Pros
  • High marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Good, but not great
