Reliable product for boating

Adapts to rails of different diameters and materials suitable for marine use. I will purchase additional ones as additional railing applications become available.

THE BEST boat clamps in the world. Ye!

I LOVE these clips! They are great for attaching everything from drums to solar panels to the boat rail. Not rust. Sometimes the angle makes it difficult to screw together. Very diverse.

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Some little things

Perfect blocks for boat accessories

I used these to attach cam clamps to my sailboat's davits. (If these words don't make sense, see photo). I could use pre-drilled holes with a captive nut, but I was also able to drill them very efficiently. High quality blocks. Will buy again for other accessories.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works well for me good for rowing

I have three of these attached to a heavy duty oar box that attaches to the pushpit of a sailboat and I am very happy with them. This box has to be removed every fall and reinstalled in the spring, and these devices do the process of using nuts and bolts that used to take 1.5 hours to 10 minutes. The result is pretty sure. Comes with rubber grommets to accept 7/8", 1" and 1-1/8" rails. They're easily converted and solid. Great!

Well made, high quality materials!

Wanted to mount propane or butane tanks to the rails on the sides of the boat. These sea dog clips are made from a starboard-like material with stainless steel hardware. Rubber inserts allow the clip to be easily installed on rails of different sizes. The hardware didn't match what I wanted to do, but it was easy to cut slots to insert stainless steel clips through one end, allowing me to surround the tubes I wanted to secure.

Sturdy but could. - Accessories

is difficult to install. These look very well made. The plastic is thick and durable. Rubber adapters for different size mounting rails appear to be of high quality. The difficulty with them is to attach the object to the top of the mount. There are 3 mounting holes, and the spacing may make it difficult to install easily and "cleanly" on some objects. You can of course drill through the top of the object to be installed, but if it's a solar panel your options are somewhat limited. Most panels…

Pros
  • Beautiful packaging
Cons
  • The list will be long.

What are those two weird little washers for?

I am installing solar panels on a sailboat slider. The clamps are excellent, IMO. There is one important point to note that may not be obvious to some users. The clamps come with a few small parts: screws, lock washers, thumbscrews, and two odd looking gray washers with small ridges on the inner radius. don't throw them away! These washers are locking washers for the thumbscrew clamps and must be installed inside the clamp to prevent accidental dropping of the thumbscrew when the clamp is…

  • Great for outdoor activities
