Extremely easy setup

I work remotely as a support engineer for an SDS vendor, so I spend a lot of time on the phone with co-workers and customers. An extremely easy setup, Windows 7 quickly identifies it as a communication device. The range is great, I can walk around the house with every change in signal strength. Calls are clear both ways, on my first call I had to keep asking the interlocutor if they were there because the line was very quiet. The headset is very light, comfortable and allows you to move around…

The headset works as it should.

The range of this headset is very good. The headset is very comfortable. I bought an $82 cable separately to connect the base station to my cell phone so I can use this headset with my cell phone as well. This works very well. I prefer that to a wired headset. All my interlocutors say that the sound quality is good. To protect your hearing, the base station has automatic noise suppression. This headset is recommended by the manufacturer for use in call centers only. My only issue is that the…

Seriously, buy this headset

Tired of being connected to the desktop during a conference call, I tried a Bluetooth headset, but while it gave me some freedom of movement, it didn't free me really grab a cup of coffee during those long conference calls. A friend suggested I look at the headset he bought - a Plantronics number, and this Sennheiser showed up in the "other people bought" phrases. I have tried Sennheiser aircraft headsets at various air shows and have always found them top notch in terms of performance. Since…

Well built unit. Outstanding technical service.

I've been using it for five months and it's a valuable part of my office. I use it with Dragon for most of my computer interactions, and when the phone rings I can just press the button on the base to answer the call. (I also have a tube lifter.) It's comfortable enough that I sometimes forget it's even on my head unless I bend over and it starts to fall. The printed instructions are rather cryptic and not very helpful. The base station has some required settings and the instructions certainly…

Great sound quality, absurd range, slightly annoying mute button

Update: <6 months later, the headset doesn't last 2 hours. I had to call 3 different support numbers to get the right customer support (it looks like Sennheiser has outsourced support for this product). The support team fixed my issue and told me to wait 2 business days for a reply. Meanwhile I spent $35 ordering a new battery because it was driving me crazy. Support response after 2 days? "Try changing the battery". Thanks, people. I just did it and even a fresh battery doesn't last more…

Excellent range, connection reliability and noise reduction

Addendum: It's been almost 2 years and I'm still very happy with the performance. I have a few complaints. 1) The mute button is weak and unreliable. And 2) the magnet has detached from the charging port on the headset base. The very small magnet interfered with the connection of the charging contacts. This was an easy fix after I figured out what was going on. Another thing you might want to consider is that they don't travel well. I use them all the time in my office and they're great, but it
