Great game for the family

We like everything… artwork, easy to learn, quick playing time, random tile placement and uses skill with a little luck. Scoring over 20 is a great score, which my teen daughter did on the 3rd time playing.

Pros
  • CEACO
Cons
  • May not be ideal for players who prefer cooperative games

Piece of Cake to Learn, Lots of Fun!

We picked this up after seeing several TikTok videos recommending it as a good game to play that our kids could pick up. Shifting Stones is one of their favorites! Extremely easy to pick up the rules. Players have to strategize whether to use their cards for points or manipulating ("shifting" if you will) the "stone" tiles on the board. You get 4 cards and you lay the double-sided tiles out randomly in a 3x3 grid. Each card has a picture of layout. If the stones match the layout you can play…

Pros
  • Shifting Stones is a must-have for strategy game enthusiasts or families who enjoy playing games together
Cons
  • Requires an overwhelming amount of concentration to play

Love this game! in my review

Love it, I bought 2 more for Christmas gifts this year. Great game for a quick 2 person game and for those not into deep games. I even tried it solo which I never do, and that was fun too! Have not tried it with more then two people yet, but will after I gift it on Christmas! :-)

Pros
  • Game includes 9 tiles and deck of scoring cards.
Cons
  • Requires extensive planning, which may not be everyone's preference

Fun family game for my opinion

I received this game as a Christmas gift. We were really surprised how much fun it was. It's the type of game that you could play with many age groups. It does make you think, problem solve a little, but not so much that you can't be social while you play. I really like a game that allows me to connect with others, is interesting, but also allows for conversation. The nice thing about this game is that the board is always changing so you don't really have to concentrate too much until it's your

Pros
  • Fun to play, easy to learn and beautiful graphics.
Cons
  • Not a fast game, can drag on for too long

Very fun, high quality game!

The components of this game are very high quality. The cardboard is very thick and the finish is embossed. It's a great touch to such a simple game. Players take turns playing cards to take actions moving the tiles around until they achieve a certain arrangement of the tiles. If the goal is achieved, players play the matching card to score points. That's all there is to it. Enjoy!

Pros
  • Shifting Stones is a highly strategic game that will keep players engaged for hours
Cons
  • With a small box, game pieces can get mixed leading to confusion during play

Fun, quick, engaging game - easy to learn.

Excellent, fun, puzzly game for 1 to 5 players. Easy to learn and teach. The game comes with a deck of cards and 9 nice thick cardboard double-sided "stone" tiles that are laid out randomly in a 3 by 3 grid. The stones have both colors and artwork. Each player receives 4 cards which have various tile arrangements pictured on them. On your turn, you can discard a card to switch two adjacent stones or to flip one stone to the other side (which has different color/art). Once the stones are…

Pros
  • Super fun and easy to learn! Great family game night game.
Cons
  • Can lead to a lot of analysis paralysis

Cons
  • Not suitable for players who prefer social interaction in their games

GREAT GAME!: my feedback

This is an EASY TO LEARN game with good mental strategy. The nine tiles are NICE AND THICK! Nice family board game. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • The game's portability makes it the perfect way to take the fun on-the-go
Cons
  • Cannot be easily changed or modified for added excitement

Fun simple family game, could be more challenging

You lay the tiles down and play your hand to flip or switch the tiles. You do this in order to create a pattern that matches a card in your hand, hence scoring points. I played with my two kids 9 and 7 that play and enjoy games like Dragonwood, Forbidden Island, kingdomino, sushi go and an occasional exploding kittens. This game is super simple to learn which is great, it also is a quick play for those that don't like to finish games. Honestly, I enjoyed the game, however, this isn't a game…

Pros
  • 7.9 x 7.9 x 2.3 inches
Cons
  • Lacks replay value and can become boring after a few plays

Fun and reading impaired approved!

Came super fast in time to play during the snow storm! We took someone’s advice and used a cake decorator plate to play the game on and it worked perfectly! Found the game instructions on YouTube and were playing minutes later. Great gameplay for my dyslexic child.

Pros
  • Taught it to my 6 and 8 yr old and we have a blast. Infinite replayabilty.
Cons
  • Tactic-heavy nature can turn some people off

High quality, quick setup, easy to learn

Easy to setup, easy to play, design is great even for the colorblind. Much nicer quality look and feel than I expected. May not be suitable for players looking for a game that is easy to pick up!

Pros
  • With different play variations available, this game can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels
Cons
  • May not be suitable for players looking for a game that is easy to pick up

easy to learn but lots of strategy.

We really enjoy playing this game and even though we played many time with 4 adults (from 26 to 65 years old) we like it most with just 2 players. It was quick & easy to learn to play. You take the luck of the cards you draw and plan your strategic moves BUT you can't plan ahead too far as each person is most likely to mess up your plans. Surprisingly a great game.

Pros
  • Shifting Stones is perfect for families looking for an engaging and challenging game to play together
Cons
  • Can be overwhelming with too many directions and tiles to keep track of

Amazing game for all levels

I had played the game online, and wanted to try with my kids, 4 and 7. They have played it dozens of times and love it. The game comes with 1 player rules in the rulebook that works more like a puzzle. Awesome value in the box.

Pros
  • This game is excellent for teaching children teamwork skills while they play
Cons
  • Might be repetitive if played too often

5 minutes to learn - different every time.

Great game. I bought one as a gift for everyone in our extended family. By shifting or flipping nine stones you try to create the pattern shown on the cards you hold. You have to pay for your moves with other cards from your hand, so some planning is required. Literally 5 minutes to learn to play. My eight-year-old granddaughter got the concept right away. Not only fun, but teaches planning ahead, spatial organization, and decision making. The stones are thick, durable cardboard with a 3-D…

Pros
  • This tile-based game is a perfect way to cultivate visual thinking and tactical decision-making skills in children
Cons
  • Can be less enjoyable with fewer players
