Because of misleading marketing. The lack of transparency, but the act of deception itself, is why I give it a bad rating. The balls themselves? Absolutely life saving. I require back injuries etc. Lacrosse balls are a daily requirement for my PT. I will buy more but NOT from the same source as I feel it is a lack of ethics.

I don't play lacrosse so I don't know how it compares to other sports balls but I can tell you that it's great for working out, loosening knots in the muscles. Leaning against the wall, I roll the ball over the knot and hold until it breaks free. Much better than a tennis ball. It also jumps. That's it.

I don't know how long they will last because our dogs only chew on them for three years. Our toy destroyer dogs love them but haven't shown any damage yet. I made a small notch in one with the mower. I would never order 4 Pay dollars for a ball. They are of medium to lower final quality. The quality control was pretty poor and I think I'll cut the filler lever off the molds themselves as that's not what the manufacturer wanted. I bought a pink and orange lacrosse ball for our two golden retrievers. We already had two lacrosse balls that they love (and couldn't destroy like they do tennis balls) so I wanted to grab a few more to have on hand. This is a different brand than what we already have and they seem to be less strong.
