Doesn't work: Door fittings and locks

Didn't work at all. The lock on my sliding glass door broke so I bought it as a replacement until it was fixed and was no longer strong. Didn't work at all.

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • There are problems

Works like a charm in hardware

I have OCD so I'd like to include a bubble level (note to your product management team) to know it's a bubble level but it works! I know my sliding patio doors are secure.

Pros
  • This is awesome

Protects my patio door

This helps protect my back door. Easy to use and good value for money. As a bonus, it also helps to keep my 3 year old indoors as he tries to escape to the backyard when no one is looking

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some trouble

Unreliable door hardware and locks

Too short for my sliding glass door so I had to measure even though I thought my door was a fairly standard size. Even when he showed up, he didn't seem safe at all. Reminds me of a cheap shower bed.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Disappears

Sturdy and easy to install

I have a three panel sliding patio door. I couldn't find a security latch for the middle door in the hardware store. This is the ideal rod: strong, easy to set up and no assembly required at a reasonable price.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Poor quality, broke within 1 month

I ordered this 2-18, received 2-20 and it took about 4 days to unbox and deliver. This broke the week 4-2 and the return window was 3-21. Not worth buying, find another one for your needs.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Not sure

Unreliable Suitable for devices

Plastic and not very durable. If someone breaks in, he may hesitate for a moment, but it will not be an obstacle to entry into the house. Guard bars set midway are the best option. I also found that using light sensor lightbulbs was the best way to make entryways less inviting.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Empty

Inconspicuous - fits a fully closed door

Only stays in place when the door is closed. I had to look for a spring loaded one so I can use it when the sliding door is slightly open. I'm trying to make something out of it and will use it as an extra for a fully closed door as part of home security - I wouldn't rely on it for any sort of baseline protection.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Won't rise when opened multiple times

We have a double sliding glass door and only use the left side to get in and out. I wanted the right side to be tightly closed. Well, every time you close the left door, this device gets a little weaker. Then after about a week (let dogs in/out 5-6 times a day, i.e. probably 15-20 daily opening/closing cycles) this safety bar falls to the ground. We still use it but just leave it at ground level. It still gets 1/100th of a millimeter shorter with every closed door, but oh well.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful
