Tech, old school gamer

I am using this for my PS2 setup as PS2 graphics are fuzzy on HDTV. I set it up like this: PS2 and Desktop Both towers are connected to the converter. The converter is connected to my LCD monitor. For audio, I used a female-to-female connection (RCA to 3.5mm). Straight from the PS2 to my desktop speakers. Works perfectly. I can be nostalgic for all my classic PS2 games (KH 1 and 2, Valkyrie Profile 2, Dark Cloud 1 and 2). The graphics aren't blurry at all and it works better than a tube TV (inโ€ฆ

Poorly implemented on video converters

Only works in principle. The composite signal from the Vic-20 computer gave the wrong interlaced signal. Maybe the deinrrlacer will flip the fields. See attached photo. The buttons are mislabeled and the PIP button is actually a mode button. The mode resets on power cycle, requiring you to press the button 10-12 times to revert to your monitor's native resolution. Maybe it's for a VGA CRT screen and not an LCD, or it's expecting a moving picture and not a static picture. Not suitable forโ€ฆ

Barely works as advertised

I bought this to connect older computers and gaming systems to a modern flat screen. I tried two computers (Commodore 64 and Apple II) and a gaming console (original 8-bit Nintendo or NES). I also tried using two different monitors (an Acer, a Dell). No matter what system or monitor I was using, there was an odd color bar at the top of the screen. Also, colors were washed out, "noise lines" appeared on the screen, and text was blurry. The manual says you should try to set the dip switches, butโ€ฆ

Poorly. Ok plastic. Good price. Does a HORRIBLE job

Does the job. Want a nice signal? One without noise, lines introduced? Do you want to change this thing's settings? I hope you are planning to switch from VGA to VGA. Any other use of this thing is of disgusting quality and leaves a watermark (that tells you what mode it's in) and prevents you from changing settings on it and causing annoying screen noise no matter how much you fiddle with cables. Believe me. It's not the cables. The quality of the plastic itself, as well as the connectors andโ€ฆ

It does the job. Unfortunately, it's like applying pig lipstick.

We have a factory for our church and we use a fairly old professional video camera. Access to the eyepiece is awkward in our sound booth and an external monitor is required. We currently have a video stream (bnc/rca) going to the video to usb converter included in our system which works fairly well but is behind the camera. We have an additional BNC/RCA output on the camera and some computer monitors, so we went with that option. The good news is that it works. The bad news is that the pictureโ€ฆ

Ok but also bring 1/8 " audio cables.

Bought to fit some old LCD monitors for use with consoles and BR/DVD players. The first monitor doesn't have built in speakers and I have used this along with a composite video "A/B" switch to use an XB360 and DVD player with it, there are a few other items required to do this with a monitor with or without using speakers. In any case, this requires a red to white RCA cable to a 1/8" stereo headphone jack. This allows you to use a 1/8" male-to-male cable to connect monitors with speakers. And it

Black and white image for old consoles

I wanted to connect my Super Nintendo Entertainment System and Sega Genesis to a 16:9 computer monitor while maintaining the 4:3 aspect ratio of consoles (which is what then Die (cheapest composite to HDMI converters won't fit.) In my online research, I found that my monitor accepts VGA inputs with variable aspect ratios (both 16:9 and 4:3). During my further research I came across this product. and ordered it. The delivery itself was quick and the contents were packed in a ziplock bag. Afterโ€ฆ

Works for my limited needs

There is an old Pioneer Elite DV-47Ai universal DVD player that I used to play CDs. Many of the player's audio settings sometimes need to be adjusted via the TV screen together with the Pioneer remote control. I just needed to see these player menu settings on my computer's LCD monitor, which has an unused VGA port. With this converter I can see the menu items of the Pioneer player without any problems. I'm using the S-Video outputs of a Pioneer player and I'm converting to VGA with that unitโ€ฆ

Works well on post-SNES consoles.

So here is my offer. I have some old game consoles. I wanted something I use with composite (RCA, red, white, yellow) to pair with my 5 year old 42" Vizio LCD. I originally bought a composite to HDMI adapter hoping it would do everything with one cable from the junction box and tidy things up. I sent it back because the picture quality left a lot to be desired. I bought this knowing I have a Dsub input on my TV and there are adapters to make audio work, so I knew what I was getting into.
