Well carbonated drinks, exactly as described.

It is exactly what it should be, comes with 5 spare o-rings, the serrated interior is removable which is great. I have tested this several times and the cap fits well on a 2 liter bottle. I'll be using it to make maple syrup cream soda (using Vermont maple syrup) and more even carbonation of kombucha (some batches, especially winter, don't carbonate as well as they do in warm weather) and maybe even a little portioned home brew with carbonate the Future. Great set to add to my brewing gear…

Much better than the plastic ones!

Plastic problems: (1) does not hold carbonation. If I carbonate on Monday it will be flat by Wednesday. So I had to keep bottles of cold water in the fridge and carbonate them just before drinking. And then use the whole bottle, because a partially filled bottle loses its fizz faster than a full one. (2) After a few months, water will come out at the top and back into the hose. This metal is great. If I fizz on a Monday, it's still good on a Wednesday, and a partially empty bottle will still…

Works great!

This is a very well made bubbler cap. I have two of these and use them regularly. Work with 1 or 2 liter soda bottles. Tip 1. I suggest connecting a short (a few inches, almost to the bottom of the bottle) transparent hose to the barbed inner fitting to inject gas directly into your drink. see drawing. Tip 2: Use a check valve to protect the regulator from backflow in case your pressurized, sticky drink gets into the hose. Tip 3: After filling with gas, the carbonation will be much better if…

Gas everything: kegs and kegs

It's a long story from Cornelius kegs, SodaStream and adapter hoses to this little crown cap jewel. My first attempt was pure distilled water. Worked great. The second attempt was the classic "red punch" without sugar. I've always found the non-carbonated version to be quite sweet, so I wasn't worried about wasting a batch. I filled an old soda bottle about 3/4 full, squeezed to remove the air, and injected 30 pounds of gas. Shake it, fill it with gas and put it on its side in the fridge…

Ideal for forced carbonation

I really liked this cap. I have to report that there was a slight learning curve. I mainly use the cap on 1 liter CO2 Smartwater bottles at around 40psi. At first I tried screwing the cap on too tightly, and it's possible to screw it on so tightly that the vinyl seal inside folds up and pops into the water bottle's neck instead of resting on the top of the lip. Then the lid leaks. After doing this a few times, I unscrewed the lid first to make contact and then some more to get a good seal and…

Good for carbonating a 2 liter bottle

I've been using this for a few weeks now and enjoy making seltzer. I have a CO2 tank and set it to 40psi. I put a few teaspoons of lime juice in a 2 liter bottle and fill it about 3 inches from the top with chilled filtered water. I squeeze the bottle to raise the water level to the top and screw the stainless steel cap on tight. I then use the CO2 ball valve connector I usually use on my beer keg and plug it in. After a second, the balloon is filled with CO2. Then I shake the bottle well for…

Bad milling/casting inside

I ordered in early September 2020. The lid I received was not engraved/marked with the Ferroday logo as shown in the picture, but the logo was on the product packaging. with a spare rubber gasket and several small spare O-rings. I would have given this rating 5 stars if it weren't for the inferior milling on the inside of the lid. . This strainer holds the ball check valve and is held in place with a metal retaining clip. This screen itself, which comes into contact with liquid when you use…

Very good, commercial grade quality and reliability

I only bought this soda keg valve adapter because I read that the "Carbonator" adapter I bought was made out of plastic , has received poor durability ratings. To this day, I still use a plastic carbonator, but I'm so addicted to sparkling water that I thought it would cost $18 to have this stainless steel cap as a replacement. One aspect I'm curious about and want to try is the nipple on the underside of the lid. He gets a quarter inch hose that can be lowered into the water as long as the…
