Plastic problems: (1) does not hold carbonation. If I carbonate on Monday it will be flat by Wednesday. So I had to keep bottles of cold water in the fridge and carbonate them just before drinking. This is a very well made bubbler cap. I have two of these and use them regularly. Work with 1 or 2 liter soda bottles. Tip 1. I really liked this cap. I have to report that there was a slight learning curve. I mainly use the cap on 1 liter CO2 Smartwater bottles at around 40psi. At first I tried screwing the cap on too tightly, and it's possible to screw it on so tightly that the vinyl seal inside folds up and pops into the water bottle's neck instead of resting on the top of the lip. I've been using this for a few weeks now and enjoy making seltzer. I have a CO2 tank and set it to 40psi. I put a few teaspoons of lime juice in a 2 liter bottle and fill it about 3 inches from the top with chilled filtered water.
