Sharp and works great.

I use these knives to cut lightly frozen meat that I buy in bulk. Blades work on thawed meat. The stainless steel blades are very sharp and clean. I highly recommend this product. Be sure to dry the blades well before putting them away. Again, they are sharp, please be careful.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Obsolete

They cut I wish they were thicker

These blades cut bone very well, we use them for cutting limbs and butchering oxen. That being said I wish they were a little thicker, once they get stuck or get stuck a bit they turn into wet noodles, regular blades you can usually smooth out and use for a while, not so much with these. Once badly bent, they're done. Yes they are decent although not the best.

Look no further it's amazing

I can't express how impressed I am with these blades, thicker than a standard kitchen knife and sharper. With a blade, like the pros, we split 2 pigs along the back and effortlessly remove the hocks. Now it's tidy and waiting for the next adventure and looks like new. We used a 20V battery, a smaller variable speed would be fine

Pros
  • Great for a small home

Works well with beef bones.

Just used this on a full size bull today and it works well for sawing (ribs, splitting quarters and underchains, legs) and I would use it for splitting rather than hand sawing but I have a 20 inch saw for this. I think it will be best for small animals but today it came in very handy and I was glad to have it. She doesn't cut meat very well, but she's been drinking too. Tried frozen meat, probably good.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Safety

TPI too high for blades

Most of the other blades I see on the list have the same problem, but the TPI (teeth per inch) on them is too high for a clean cut on unfrozen carcasses . I would have liked a slower cut that I could control better and that wouldn't make the sow and me twitch as much. It was almost impossible to make cuts down the middle of the spine, and I ended up with pork chops that looked more like rib chops on one side and solid bone chops on the other. The rest of the quality seems normal.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Thin blades for my quick release

The set I received is about 1/2 thicker than a regular blade. That didn't bother me now as they still seemed solid. But we tried using them in a saber saw with a quick-change blade head and the slightest pull causes the blades to fall out. It didn't stop them, but it's very frustrating to keep cutting and trying to get the blade back into the saw. Does this apply to all idk saws? You may have to dig up the old saw you screw the blade onto.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
