I have used them several times since buying them. Happy with the set. So far I've used it to punch holes before drilling a new mounting hole in steel. These punches make the mark the starting point for drilling. A handy little bag that keeps them together and easy to find/take out of the tool bag. I assume they will last a long time.

They hold up well and create the perfect punch holes where you need them. The drills are precisely centered and do not roll out of the hole, also because the hole is deep enough in any case. Rather than buying a set of stamps, many of which I'll probably never use, I'd rather just buy the ones I need for my AR builds. Starett is a very good brand to have in your tool kit. Stay away from cheap junk! Sizes with a 5/32 taper tip, 5/32 drive pin, 3/32 taper tip, 3/32 drive pin, 1/8 taper tip, and 1/8 drive pin are a good place to start. I seem to be missing a pin on the barrel's gas block. But I'm by no means an expert. The dimensions above are a pretty good start. Happy building!

Although I felt they were a bit overpriced I bought them as a set of good quality dies. They were shipped quickly in cheap plastic packaging as shown in the picture. The stamps appeared to be well made, but I found the smallest in the set to be quite brittle. I was trying to loosen the frozen bolt by alternately tapping both ends of the bolt when the punch sheared (broke) about 1/3 the height of the shank from the tip.
