I buy this every year. I had a 2015 Subaru Forrester just for better service and it's great. I see the dirt he gets and I'd rather spend some money to keep my car running.

I had a P050A check engine light that came on on a cold start at high idle. I have had a K&N oil filter for over 6 years. Changed the stock Subaru rear filter, removed and cleaned the air box, MAF and throttle body. Until after more than 30 km the check engine light comes on.

OEM Subaru from Denso, compared to the WIX I used last time I feel this Subaru filter is better quality and considered 'Made in USA' " is marked. Very satisfied although it is more expensive than others. The picture shows my replacement Wix air filter and this Subar air filter.

This air filter is of much better quality than other brands that I have personally tested. This factory filter was a bit more expensive, but the high quality justifies its slightly higher price. I don't normally buy original parts (OEM) but this was an easy decision given the high quality. Other replacement air filters I researched were cheap designs and the quality of this factory part was very striking.

Listen up boys! I bought this filter to use in my 2016 Crosstrek Premium but before installing it in my car I had to test it on myself so I made a face mask to fit this filter and let me tell you that this thing filters air. I couldn't smell my Taco Bell filled fart, I even tried it in the closet (well, obviously not "in" the closet) and it worked perfectly. Now don't go crazy and use this for your COVID-19 mask as I haven't tried it on the hospital COVID ward yet.

I have used other air filters on my Subaru but they didn't fit the air filter housing as well. didn't even let the filter housing cover close properly. I decided it was best to keep the air filter that came with the car from the factory and that was it. Don't believe the hype from aftermarket filter manufacturers. I was a bit hesitant to order because people said they received fakes. Like everything else, it depends on the third party. The third party I chose with Prime shipping was called Genuine Subaru Parts. The part I received was a genuine Subaru filter.
