An absolute must have for your 2015+ WRX

I didn't expect it to change the dynamics of the car so much. Shifts are smoother and power is much higher. I can shift sharply and reduce power without the transmission using any power. Those of you who have had a 15+ WRX know what I'm talking about, on hard shifts some of the power is dissipated due to transmission deflection due to the soft mounting of the transmission. is dissipated due to drivetrain deflection, meaning more power is sent to the tires. It took me about 1.5 hours using only…

5MT N-Group Jack

This is actually an N-Group jack The N-Group part number for the 5MT jack is ST4100055200; D1010FE020 is listed on parts.subaru.com as an alternate/replacement number. Suitable for almost all Subaru 5MT transmissions. Other transmission mount bushings you will need are ST410224S030 which are Group n cross member bushings. On another car I have installed the Cartboy version of the cross member bushings and the factory N groups are much nicer. They're not as stiff as go-karts, but they have a…

The best upgrade you can make to improve your driving experience!

Probably one of the best upgrades you can make to your car. I installed it on my '19 WRX and the difference it makes was very noticeable from the moment you get behind the wheel. This completely removed any backlash-causing gear movement, but it doesn't explain much. In the 3 months I've had the WRX I figured the slight twitch was from the way Subaru makes their transmissions or I'm not used to the car's clutch yet. It was worse in first and second gear. I was completely wrong. I knew I wasn't…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless features

Installed on a 2005 Subaru Outback XT with 5 speed manual transmission. Goods correspond to the description. The product fits without any modifications. OEM Subaru Group N Transmission Mount, manufactured from stronger rubber than the original part. It was purchased to replace the original flimsy "slotted" or "slotted" bracket. It fits perfectly. However, this added very little audible vibration and some noticeable vibration to the clutch pedal and shift knob. Group N engine mounts added at…

Knock when shifting? Replace gearbox bearing!

I bought this for my 150,000km, 5-MT, 2004 Subaru WRX. When I shifted from 2nd to 3rd gear, I heard a knock on the floor almost near the gearbox and knew immediately that the gearbox support was defective. When I removed the old gearbox mount it definitely had play due to the old worn out rubber. So much so that I could bend the bracket by hand. This new bracket is SOLID because it is made entirely of steel. I don't hear that knocking in the hall anymore. As an added bonus, I can now shift into

Goodbye Rubbery Drive Train

Probably the best upgrade to get rid of transmission chatter. The 2015 WRX is an inherently good car. One area that needs improvement is the feel of the engine being protected by rubber. Anyone who has ever driven a manual transmission car knows that there are times when a car's transmission can really skip. Whether at low speed in 1st gear or when trying to increase the revs. Some call it flex, sag, slosh or bounce in transmission. Before that I updated the pitch stop with only a small…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
