perfect solution! on Gates & Gate Extensions

We have a Rottweiler Shepherd puppy and needed a gate for a wide, frequently used door during training. Tried wire fence (rather long), loose wooden gates (easily knocked over). I didn't want permanent attachments to the walls. This gate adjusts to a specific width, with smaller sections that can be removed or placed on either side to suit your door's needs. Side tensioners are easy to adjust and secure. Wall dampers are included and the gate itself can be secured at the top, bottom or both…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

It's almost TOO strong and unwieldy for gaps in between

The door almost doesn't open. The latch is easy to manipulate, but the spring on the door is very stiff, making it difficult to lift from the locked position. I hope it loosens up a bit with use. The space I need to fill is 56 inches which means that if I use all the extensions I won't be able to use the turnbuckles because the gate will be pushed against the wall. If I take from the shortest extension, the bolts pull out the furthest before they reach the correct tension. I had to order…

  • Very good value for money

Wide gate but be careful when installing

We have a very wide door for which we were looking for a baby gate. We found this one and went to install it and ran into some issues with how to position the gate. The entrance to the gate had to be completely on one side and all other metallic gate connections had to be connected on the other side. Because of this, the gate became very unstable when pressed. Luckily we have a friend who can weld 2 metal bars for us to attach to the top and bottom of the bars to stabilize the gate. If you are…

Best Pet Gate In Over 20 Years

I don't usually write reviews but I am so impressed with the quality and ease of installation that I had to pass the comments along to those looking for a pet/kids gate. . It arrived in two days and comes out of the box with all parts carefully packed. They can be used as hold downs or if you want to make them a permanent fixture you can install hold downs in brackets that can be attached to walls. Someone put a lot of thought into building these gates. It comes with user-friendly components…

NOT SUITABLE FOR OTHER OPENINGS

If you don't intend to use this product for a broader public disregard this review - to everyone else it's a public announcement. We have a 58 inch opening between our living room and dining area and we were thrilled when we found this gate to help our one year old. until they actually arrived. When they state that these gates work to open up to 60 inches, they don't take into account the underlying physics or realities that gates are designed to block. When you attach the inserts to extend the

Cheap, flimsy and broke within a week. Do not buy.

I would give 0 stars if I could. We spent weeks looking for a gate to match our 60 inch French door between the living room and dining room. We chose this gate because it is well finished and also aesthetically beautiful. Didn't pass us and weeks, and he already broke. Let's start with the fact that the design of these gates is not conducive to working in wide doorways. It is advertised to fit doors up to 60 inches. Our doorway is 60 inches, but it feels wobbly with the extensions. The pins…

Fits in our standard size hallway!

Okay, this looks like the fourth baby gate we've tried. UPS employee tired of picking up baby gates. We're using this gate with a small extension but have kept the rest in case we need to move it to the wider part of our hallway where our entrance is. During installation it was a little tricky to find the right part as all the extensions are different sizes, but after some trial and error we settled on it. These gates are strong and keep themselves open, which is very useful. The finish is nice
