The metal shoulder sticks out from under the protective cover and scratches the wheel. It's going to hit my bike anyway as the lugs are really deep.

"Thin Wall" but still doesn't clean my plastic hub wheels which was the main reason for my purchase. Overall this is a training head and I like that it is long. So when I tighten the wheel lugs, the wrench is off the surface of the wheels. The plastic case is completely useless to me.

It's not what I would call thin-walled. As others have reported this does not fit my Zenik plastic hub rims. When the bushing is removed it will fit but touch the sides of the eyelet holes. This leaves marks on the discs. I might as well buy a regular 18mm thin wall outlet and use a 3 inch extension on it. Otherwise it's really good but for the price I have to send it back.

I bought this because my shock absorber bushings didn't match my summer wheel eyelets. This socket fits perfectly and has inner and outer wheel/stud protection. This is a high quality product, the fit and finish is excellent. The extension feature is also great, allowing you to quickly move the cleats with your fingers before hitting them with a punch. I will definitely be buying more sizes for my other cars if I need them.

I bought this item for the simple reason that it is a 'thin' deep wall socket. It's not thin enough for my Motegi discs. That's the ONLY reason I didn't give 5 stars. The plastic on the outside is removable, giving you a little more space. Also inside is a plastic that protects the ears. I won't be returning it because it's a good thing and with this color I always know where my 19mm is.

Bought a new aftermarket wheel set to fit my WRX. Having no money and wanting it to look good, I didn't want to use conventional outlets. This fits the requirements well. The only downside I noticed is the narrow profile of the new wheels. My solution was to take it off, spray some WD40 on the metal and then put it back on. During use I tend to keep the tread stationary which means it doesn't chafe the wheels at all. Too bad I didn't get one for my old OEM rims a year ago.
