took about 17 months, installed over a canopy

Not sure I justified my $$$, it started cracking within a year, my husband was able to mend it a bit and it pull up to get a little more life. But now it's just useless. So pays about 9 dollars a month for its usage. Thought it should last at least 2 years in Southern California.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Good hay tarpaulin with the best equipment

I have been using this brand of tarp to cover my horse's hay for several years now. I order a new one every year because summers are hot and winters can be windy and wet here in Idaho. These tarps beat all of the above, and at a price I'm happy to buy new every year, it's cheaper than buying more hay. I appreciate the size selection.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other pickaxes

Heavy duty, true to size, fits trailer cover

Extra heavy, heavily reinforced corner bushes, suitable for trailer tarpaulin. True to size, unlike cheap tarps that can leak. So far the autumn winds haven't moved him at all. I'll update in the spring so everyone knows how it fared through the N.MN winter. I used to buy cheap tarpaulins, but the wind quickly tore them up and ripped out the grommets.

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • The list will go on.

Nice and heavy item for a tarp

We used this tarp as a cover for a metal tube canopy frame that protects our boat from Florida's harsh weather. It provides more shade and lowers the temperature underneath. The taupe is a lot less obtrusive than the usual blue tarp we often see in our area. Unfortunately, it only lasted about a year before it started to wear down along the top. To be fair, the wind is strong in our area and it's held in place with a bungee, which can allow for more movement (and resulting wear and tear) than…

Forget the blue PE tarp

I have used many tarps over the years to cover my boat for the winter and now I have absolute confidence in this tarp. With light blue polythene tarps I was worried all winter just waiting for a storm to tear them up and fill the boat with snow. Don't worry about that. We had a terrible 20 inch snow storm here in October 2011 - wet heavy stuff combined with very strong gusts of wind. This tarpaulin hardly moved. in the wind - that's a tough way of working. The grommets are well reinforced so…

Nice case, but waterproof?

Good durable coating but I use it to cover the terrace for the winter. According to the description it is waterproof. It may have originally been waterproof, but after a couple of violent winter storms I would use the word "waterproof" instead. Some water does seep through the plating and I've also noticed a few small holes, probably due to ice covering the plating from time to time. Again, if you're not dealing with harsh weather and don't need total waterproofing, this is still a good case…

hard wearing but barely lasted 2 years in the mild climate of Santa Cruz Ca.

It is made for heavy use but the brown color is bad as the sun heats it up and it deteriorated over the course of 1.5 years and became too thin and small cracks appeared on the top of the dome. Then there was a light wind and at 2 years old he just went crazy. This is my second brown and the first was the same. Only 2 years from each of them. I used to have heavy white scales from occupational safety equipment. I think it was the Motoshade brand that came with a car shed and used two of these…

Works best in tarps and bindings

We bought this tarp to cover our 20ft pontoon boat for the winter. We live in Michigan and our winters can be harsh. The tarpaulin had to work hard this winter. This winter (2013-2014) UP had their worst winter in 20 years and this tarpaulin withstood the wind and freezing temperatures. I was very impressed with what he went through. We didn't realize the bushings were cracked. there are no tears It looks the same as the day we put it on the boat. Very happy with my purchase. UPDATE: It's 2019…

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Upgradable
